Elena's POV
Sorry for any confusion caused whatsoever.
This is the continuation from where the last chapter stopped
qThe hallway looked like Christmas morning. Shopping bags lined the walls, spilling over with fabrics and boxes, glints of jewelry cases peeking out from the paper. I stared at them as if they weren't mine, as if this was some dream I would wake from at any moment. I was about to cry, seeing this scene really warmed up my heart.
But Justin's hand at the small of my back, guiding me inside, kept me tethered to reality. He led me to a seat and he crouched at my feet, undoing the straps of my sandals with careful precision. When he slipped them off and looked up at me, my chest tightened. That tiny, rare smile, the one that softened the storm in his eyes, the one that displays his smile lines and covers up his cold demeanor layed on his lips.
"Thank you," I whispered, voice trembling with emotion I couldn't contain.
His brow arched, lacing with worry "For what?"
