"This is my room?" Carla asked, her little voice trembling with excitement as her wide eyes roamed around the space.
"Yes, sweetheart," Sofia said softly, her heart swelling with joy. "From now on, this will be your room."
Carla gasped, her small hands clutching her stuffed bunny as she took a few eager steps forward. The room was filled with soft pastel colors, shelves of picture books, a small white desk, and a bed covered with pink and cream pillows. A large window let in the golden afternoon light, making the whole room glow.
"Wow," she breathed, spinning slowly in awe. "This is so big. It's like I'm a princess."
Adam smiled and walked over to her, his eyes soft with affection. He gently ruffled her hair, making her giggle. "Of course, you are," he said. "You're Mommy and Daddy's princess."
