Chapter 5 - Getting to know the house

Upon leaving the room for the first time, Aziz was greeted by a luxurious and well-lit hallway.

Looking around and admiring his mother's good taste in architecture, he was caught by surprise when he came across paintings of himself. Gazing at the paintings, Aziz wondered when his mother had made them, since whenever they were in the room, she only stayed in bed holding him.

'She must have painted these while I was sleeping—after all, with how little energy I have, I spend more time asleep than awake',Aziz reasoned.

"Wait for me, I'm coming with you." Turning around, Isis saw her lady quickly leaving the room to join them.

After Astrid joined them, the three of them continued on their way. As they walked through the house, his mother, along with Isis, introduced him to various rooms, like the living room, kitchen, and even the training room.

Aziz was slightly puzzled by his mother and Isis. He didn't really think it was normal for two adults to give a tour of a huge house to a five-month-old child.

"Well, customs and traditions differ from person to person, and from place to place," Aziz resigned himself.

After seeing the entire house from the inside, the three of them went to the backyard, which was truly beautiful, with glowing and exotic flowers he had never seen before, and a huge tree standing in the middle of the yard.

Aziz assumed that, on sunny days, that tree would provide a very nice and relaxing shade to sit under.

Some time after admiring the lovely yard, the three of them went to the terrace.

Upon arriving, the first thing that caught Aziz's attention were two pale moons and constellations of stars he had never seen on Earth.

'So I really was reincarnated into another world, after all',Aziz mentally confirmed his hypothesis.

Someone might think Aziz was foolish for not being certain until now that he had been reincarnated into another world. However, for him, that could be a mistaken judgment.

Even though he was inclined to believe he was in a different world—given the almost ethereal appearance of his mother and the maid, something undoubtedly uncommon on Earth—he still wasn't entirely sure.

But after today, having seen the whole house and been shown the training room with strange equipment, swords, and other wooden melee weapons—and to top it off, the backyard with glowing exotic flowers and a tree he had never seen before, even though he was well-versed in botany—he began to change his mind.

And what truly solidified the hypothesis that he was in another world were the two pale moons in the sky, along with star constellations he didn't recognize. That was when he realized he no longer needed further proof to dissolve his doubts.

Looking at the sky—different from what he was used to, yet no less beautiful—he found himself wondering what the names of those different constellations and stars might be.

Amid his thoughts, Aziz saw a star shining more brightly than the others whenever he focused on it. Observing and analyzing it for a while, he thought it looked a lot like one that existed in his old world.

"The sky is really beautiful tonight, don't you think, my baby?" his mother asked him as she took him from Isis's arms.

Turning his attention to his mother, he tried to say that the sky was indeed beautiful, but what came out of his mouth were only indecipherable baby words.

Seeing this, Astrid, along with Isis, couldn't help but let out a playful laugh.

"Hehehe~ sweetheart, did you understand what mommy asked you?" Astrid asked as she lowered the strap of her dress to breastfeed Aziz.

Seeing that he would once again be able to drink his favorite nectar, Aziz's eyes couldn't help but sparkle with anticipation.

It didn't take long for him to fall into the realm of dreams while being breastfed. After all, for his little body and low energy, it had been a tiring day.

Seeing that Aziz had fallen asleep, Astrid, along with Isis, returned to the room.

However, without Aziz knowing, the star he had been observing before falling asleep began to shine even more intensely.

### Time Skip

A little over five years had passed since Aziz had reincarnated into this world. During those years, he made some very important discoveries.

First, he found out that the name of the world he was in was *Vezarys*. He asked his mother if she knew the origin of the name, but she replied that she didn't know.

Through his curious questions to his mother and the maid, he also learned that several races existed across the world. However, they explained that the different races were separated by their own dimensions.

He wasn't too surprised by the existence of multiple races. In fact, he would've been surprised if there were only one.

He discovered that in this world, separated by dimensions, the different races were: humans, vampires, basilisks, dragons, elves, fairies, beastmen, demons, and immortals.

He asked his mother which race they belonged to. She replied that Isis was a vampire, and that she and Aziz were immortals.

Aziz was intrigued, because when he thought of the word "immortal," what came to mind were those cultivation novels he had read on Earth—with sects, Dao, flying swords, arrogant young masters, face-slapping, and *that* iconic phrase that didn't even need to be written.

Putting that thought aside, he asked his mother a question he considered important.

He asked if their race was strong. His mother replied that immortals were very strong. However, when he asked what special traits their race had, she said that he would find out in the future—and gave him a mysterious smile.
