Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 What You Taught Me

Three days later, during a routine work assignment, Chen Xuewen had a conflict with another big shot in the prison.

This big shot had once bullied Chen Xuewen.

However, after the incident with the scar, this big shot was now afraid of Chen Xuewen and always avoided him.

This time, they happened to run into each other.

The big shot tried to ease the tension by cracking a joke, but it only enraged Chen Xuewen.

Chen Xuewen immediately tackled the big shot to the ground and almost tore off half of his ear, causing the big shot to scream in pain.

Chen Xuewen's eyes were bloodshot as he pointed at the big shot and roared, "This isn't over. I won't let you off the hook!"

The big shot was trembling with anger. That day, he contacted several other big shots to discuss how to deal with Chen Xuewen.

Previously, these big shots had been the ones who walked around the prison with their heads held high, and no one dared to provoke them.

Now, being stepped on by Chen Xuewen, they were all quite indignant.

This incident made them realize that if they didn't deal with Chen Xuewen, none of them would have a good life.

However, after much discussion, they still couldn't come up with a solution.

After all, no one dared to provoke such a lunatic. They could only agree to join forces to fight Chen Xuewen in the future to prevent him from picking them off one by one.

On Chen Xuewen's side, after two days of solitary confinement, the first thing he did upon returning to his cell was to gather his men.

These were all the subordinates of the scar before, and now they were all under Chen Xuewen's command.

Chen Xuewen was straightforward and gave them an order: to deal with that big shot during dinner.

During dinner, while everyone was eating in the cafeteria, Chen Xuewen suddenly slammed his hand on the table. His men immediately rushed over and began to attack the big shot.

The big shot was startled and quickly called for his men to help.

Those who had previously discussed joining forces with him also joined in.

The two sides immediately engaged in a chaotic fight, and the scene was in total chaos.

The guards were taken aback and rushed over to restore order.

Chen Xuewen took advantage of the confusion and quietly slipped into the kitchen, reaching the agreed-upon spot with Old Du.

Old Du had already come in carrying a package. Seeing Chen Xuewen, he smiled and said, "Well done."

Chen Xuewen looked at the package in Old Du's hand but said nothing, only showing a hint of confusion in his eyes.

Old Du was in a good mood and didn't notice Chen Xuewen's odd behavior. He quickly opened the hidden entrance to the sewer and led Chen Xuewen down.

After doing all this, Old Du restored the hidden cover to its original state.

This sewer was actually a sewage pipe where all kinds of sewage and feces gathered, emitting a foul smell.

Moreover, the pipe was not wide. One had to crawl on the ground to move forward.

There was about half a meter of sewage in the pipe. When crawling, the sewage would reach the chin.

If one's body leaned down a little, the sewage would seep to the corners of the mouth.

It was the dead of winter, and the sewage was not only stinky but also bone-chillingly cold.

But even so, Chen Xuewen didn't make a sound and crawled forward at full speed.

This was his only chance. No matter what, he had to escape!

Even if he couldn't clear his name, he had to seek justice for his parents!

They crawled for what seemed like an eternity. Chen Xuewen wanted to vomit several times but held it back.

Finally, they heard the sound of flowing water ahead.

Old Du was delighted and said, "We're almost there."

Soon, a faint light appeared ahead, which was the moonlight shining through.

The sewer's exit was right by the river.

However, the exit was welded with an iron fence.

Chen Xuewen took a look and frowned, "How do we get out?"

Old Du chuckled and said, "Don't worry. I've made arrangements."

"I've asked the people outside to almost saw through this iron fence." "Push hard and you can push this iron fence open," he said.

Chen Xuewen nodded: "OK, I'll give it a try!"

He crawled over, grasped the iron fence with both hands and pushed with all his might.

Sure enough, the iron fence was not very firm. Chen Xuewen pushed it once and several bars broke.

At this moment, Old Du had quietly come up behind Chen Xuewen.

In his hand, there was a dagger that had appeared out of nowhere. His eyes were full of malice. While Chen Xuewen was pushing the iron fence, he suddenly thrust the dagger towards Chen Xuewen's heart.

Chen Xuewen was completely unprepared and was immediately stabbed by the dagger, falling into the sewage.

Old Du sneered: "Boy, your mission is accomplished."

"Since you are so eager to die, I'll grant your wish!"

"Don't thank me!"

Having said that, Old Du got up and began to push the iron fence.

But at this moment, there was a sudden crash behind him.

Before Old Du could react, Chen Xuewen had pounced on him, pressing him to the ground and thrusting a dagger towards his neck.

Old Du was extremely agile and immediately raised his hand to block, stopping Chen Xuewen's dagger.

At the same time, he quickly grabbed Chen Xuewen's neck with his other hand.

He grabbed Chen Xuewen's wrist with one hand and twisted it slightly, successfully countering Chen Xuewen.

Old Du sneered: "Boy, you're quite smart. You actually pretended to be dead!"

"But your skills are all taught by me. How dare you fight against me..."

Before he could finish, Chen Xuewen suddenly raised his other hand and threw an object at Old Du.

Old Du raised his hand to block, but he accidentally broke the object.

Immediately, a cloud of powder drifted out and scattered everywhere.

Old Du was the first to be hit. The powder flew directly into his eyes.

He quickly closed his eyes and wiped his face with his hand, but at that moment, he felt a sharp pain in his abdomen. A dagger had silently pierced him.

Old Du involuntarily stepped back a few steps and fell into the sewer, landing by the river.

He stared blankly at the dagger in his abdomen and then at Chen Xuewen's other hand.

Only then did he realize that the object in Chen Xuewen's right hand was not a dagger, but a stick.

The dagger that Chen Xuewen had thrust towards his neck earlier was not the one in his right hand.

The real dagger had actually been in Chen Xuewen's left hand all along!

Old Du coughed a few times, blood flowing from his mouth. He looked at Chen Xuewen in disbelief: "You... How could you!" ?"

Chen Xuewen looked down at Du Lao from a height and said word by word, "Do you still remember the first survival rule you taught me?"

Du Lao gave a bitter smile and said, "If something is abnormal, there must be something fishy!"

Chen Xuewen nodded calmly, "Exactly."

"For everything, if there is something abnormal, there must be a problem."

"You and I have no entanglements. You are so kind to help me. If you have no ulterior motives, it's absolutely impossible!"

Du Lao's face turned pale. He looked at Chen Xuewen and gritted his teeth, "So, from the very beginning, you have been on guard against me!" ?"

Chen Xuewen nodded slowly, "Ever since you taught me the first survival rule, I've been on guard against you!"

"Or rather, I no longer trust anyone in this world!"
