Chapter 12 - Chapter 11: Burn Me, Then Keep Me

The rain didn't fall that night.

But she came anyway.

No scrolls.No cloak.No excuses.

Kana knocked once.

When Naruto opened the door, she stepped inside without a word.

She stood there, her body taut in a navy-blue kimono—belt loose, hair down. Her eyes were wide but steady. Her lips trembled, but she didn't cry.

"I didn't come here to be seen tonight," she said.

"I know."

"I came to be ruined."

He didn't blink.

"You came to be kept," he corrected.

She looked up at him—and something inside her snapped.

The first kiss wasn't gentle.

It was teeth and breath and years of cold nights collapsing all at once.

Kana surged forward. Naruto caught her.

She kissed like a woman who had waited too long—fingers digging into his shoulders, breath ragged, moaning into his mouth like a woman starving for touch.

He spun her into the wall, lips at her throat, her pulse under his tongue.

"Tell me what you want," he said between kisses.

"Want?" she gasped. "I want you to erase him."

Naruto lifted her—effortless—carrying her across the room and dropping her onto the futon.

He didn't undress her gently.

He pulled.

Tore the obi from her waist, dragged the kimono open, eyes drinking in every curve, every inch of the woman beneath him.

"You don't belong to him anymore," Naruto said.

"I know."

"Say it."

"I. Don't. Belong. To him."

"Who do you belong to?"

"You."

"Say it again."

"I belong to you."

She arched beneath him as he stripped her bare.

Her hands reached for him—desperate, greedy—but he caught her wrists and pinned them above her head.

"No," he said. "Not yet."

"I need to touch you—"

"You don't need anything except to burn for me."

And she did.

He kissed her thighs. Her stomach. The soft skin behind her knees.Everywhere but where she needed it most.

She writhed.

Begged.

Whispered his name like a spell.

And when his mouth finally claimed her, she shattered.

Once.

Twice.

He didn't stop until she sobbed.

Not from pain. From release. From finally being wanted so deeply it hurt.

Then he undressed.

Slowly.

Controlled.

Letting her see every inch.

His body, lean and powerful, carried the silence of a man who never needed to prove what he could do.

Kana stared.

And for the first time, she didn't feel older.

She felt alive.

He entered her like he'd already been inside her dreams.

Deep. Slow. Unrelenting.

She gasped.

Clawed at his back.

Whispered things she'd never said to any man.

And Naruto—he didn't moan.

He owned her.

Every thrust was deliberate. Every movement made her remember what it meant to be touched by someone who saw the cracks and chose to worship them anyway.

When she came the final time, she screamed his name. Not quietly. Not politely.

Desperately.

And when she collapsed into his chest, breathless, undone, trembling…

He didn't say anything for a long time.

He just held her.

Fingers in her hair.

Breathing with her.

Anchoring her to a moment that would change everything.

She didn't speak until hours later.

Naked. Still wrapped around him. Head against his chest.

"I don't regret it," she whispered.

"You're not supposed to."

"I don't want to go back."

"You won't."

"I'm married, Naruto."

"You were."

She turned her face up to his.

"You don't flinch from anything, do you?"

"I don't flinch," he said, "because I know what I want."

"And what's that?"

"You."

She kissed him again.

Soft this time.

Not as a woman hiding from the cold.

But as one who had found the flame she'd been denied her whole life.

And in that kiss…

Kana wasn't forbidden anymore.

She was his.
