"Now this is quite a method of travel," Jason said, glancing down at the churning abyss below.

He, Mazikeen, Etrigan, Nargal, and Belyllioth rode Hell Drakes, massive red-scaled beasts wreathed in flame, their wings beating against the infernal air. These creatures had been tamed by demons long ago, living weapons turned mounts, as they flew straight toward the territory of First of the Fallen.O

"Look," Mazikeen said.

Jason turned his gaze in the direction she indicated. His eyes widened slightly.

"Oh," he muttered. "So that's the castle."

"Indeed," Etrigan said, his voice rolling like thunder, each word bound in rhythm."Behold the fortress, old and dire,First of the Fallen's throne of fire.Ancient, vast, with power untold,Only Lucifer dared be so bold."

"Even Blaze herself will not breach it," he continued. "Her strength alone shall surely fail, her ambition doomed."

Nargal nodded grimly. "The others will be forced to join her. First of the Fallen is not an enemy one defeats alone, not even if one reaches his gates."

Belyllioth remained silent, her eyes fixed on the horizon. Since Jason had humbled her, her sharp edge had dulled. She watched now with disciplined stillness.

The sight before them was overwhelming.

A colossal, ancient castle rose from the infernal landscape, its jagged towers clawing at the red sky. It looked like something pulled straight from humanity's darkest legends, brutal, oppressive, and unapologetically demonic. The aesthetic was excessive, almost theatrical in its cruelty.

Surrounding it was a vast demonic army, stretching as far as the eye could see, encircling the fortress entirely. Yet the defenses were terrifyingly efficient. From the castle walls, beams of destructive energy fired in precise intervals, erasing entire clusters of demons at once.

If Jason had to compare it to anything, it reminded him of Earth's air defense systems. Cold. Calculated. Absolute.

"With every strike," he said calmly, "they're losing hundreds. Blaze isn't in a strong position. Her army is bleeding out."

"It only looks that way," Mazikeen replied. "To Blaze, they're just numbers. Hell's population reaches into the hundreds of billions. First of the Fallen is surrounded, but supplies still reach him. And eventually, someone inside that castle will have to move."

She narrowed her eyes. "It's a siege."

Jason's gaze hardened. "Irrelevant," he said. "We're not here for the castle. Take us down. Directly to Blaze."

Mazikeen nodded. The others followed suit.

"One warning," she added. "Once we land, the demons won't attack us. We outrank them. But you…" Her eyes flicked to Jason. "They don't know you. They will."

Jason didn't hesitate. "Not an issue," he said simply. "I'll handle it."

The Hell Drakes roared as they descended, wings folding as the battlefield rushed up to meet them.

...

As the Hell Drakes descended, the demonic horde surrounding the castle parted instinctively, forming a wide landing corridor. Clawed feet hit scorched ground, wings folding as embers scattered into the air.

The demons stared.

Eyes narrowed, senses flaring as they scanned the arrivals for rank, for authority. None of them dared strike at first. Mazikeen, Etrigan, Nargal, Belyllioth. Too high. Too dangerous.

Then they noticed him.

The one at the center.

Human.

A ripple went through the ranks like a snarl passing through a pack. Killing intent surged. Voices rose. Furious, offended shouts echoed across the battlefield as demons began closing in.

Not on the group.

On Jason.

Jason's eyes hardened."Clear a path," he said calmly, his voice cutting through the noise, "to your leader. Blaze. Or suffer the consequences."

Laughter answered him. Harsh. Mocking. The circle tightened.

Then one demon lunged.

It never reached him.

The creature's body exploded mid-motion, shredded into hundreds of pieces that splattered across the ground in a wet, smoking rain.

Silence.

Jason lowered his hand."Your choice," he said evenly. "Death it is."

In a single motion, a circular slash of cursed force erupted outward, racing across the battlefield like a closing blade. Rows upon rows of demons were severed cleanly, bodies collapsing in perfect symmetry.

The attack stopped only when it struck resistance.

A barrier flared.

Standing behind it was Blaze.

She had raised her shield just in time, eyes widening as she took in the devastation around her. Thousands of demons lay bisected, the ground painted red.

Then she smiled.

With a casual gesture, her magic swept the bodies aside, clearing a path. She leapt down from her podium where she had overseen the siege, landing with predatory grace.

"Well now," she purred, eyes roaming over Jason without restraint. "Who is this dangerous, powerful, irresistible human?" Her grin widened. "You've got my attention already, and you don't even have a name yet."

Blaze stood tall and commanding, her red skin smooth and vivid, curved black horns rising cleanly from her head to frame sharp, confident features. Her glowing eyes burned with amusement and hunger alike. Long black hair cascaded freely down her back, stark against her infernal complexion.

Her armor clung rather than protected, molded to her form with deliberate intent. It emphasized every curve, every line, leaving little to the imagination. A skull-set belt rested low on her hips, accentuating her long legs and grounded, dominant stance.

Jason studied her calmly."So," he said, "you're Blaze."

"The one and only, darling," she replied.

Her gaze flicked to Mazikeen, Etrigan, and the others."Please don't tell me these idiots spun you a tragic little tale about us destroying Hell and blah blah blah."

"They convinced me enough," Jason replied coolly. "Why? You going to tell me you're not trying to conquer it?"

"Oh no," Blaze laughed. "We absolutely are. My brother and I have one dream. To rule all of Hell and reshape it in our image. Work the useless masses until they're something better." She smirked. "You could say we're making Hell great again."

Then her tone shifted, just slightly."But it doesn't concern you, human. Whatever your name is. I, Lady Blaze, future Queen of Hell, promise that Earth and humanity won't be touched. Business as usual. No changes."

Jason nodded once."That does put me at ease." He paused. "You're half-human, right? I'm Jason. Jason Anderson. King of Curses."

Her eyes lit up."Oooh, what a title," she said appreciatively. "And that power display earlier? Delicious." She tilted her head. "As for my bloodline? No clue. My father was a wizard. That human enough for you?"

"I'll count it," Jason replied.

"Then," Blaze said smoothly, "I'll ask you to leave. This isn't your fight."

Jason nodded."Technically, it isn't."

He smiled.

Then he pulled Mazikeen close by the waist, holding her firmly at his side.

"But she asked me," he continued. "And for her, I'll fight."

His grin sharpened."And besides… titles should belong to the strongest, shouldn't they?" He looked around at the battlefield. "So I nominate myself."

The air seemed to tighten.

"Not as some demon king like the rest of you are fighting over. That's beneath me." His eyes burned. "I want it all. I claim the title of Supreme King of Hell. True inheritor of Lucifer."

The reaction was instant.

Shock rippled through everyone. Blaze. Mazikeen. The generals.

The sky darkened violently. Thunder cracked. A massive black cloud spiraled overhead, lightning tearing through it.

Blaze turned toward the forming presence, her expression sharpening."Oh, you foolish human," she said quietly. "You've done it now. No one speaks of replacing Lucifer. No one even dares think it."

The cloud descended, parting as it touched the ground.

A figure emerged.

Crimson skin. Four dark horns. Deep yellow eyes slit like a predator's. A high-collared crimson robe trailing behind him. Long black nails. A red tail ending in a sharp, arrow-like tip.

Jason's eyes narrowed.

"Satan," he said.

The First of the Fallen had arrived.
