The void erupted into chaos. Warworld's hatches split open, flooding space with drones like a swarm of mechanical locusts. Each one was armed with plasma cannons and miniature warheads, their red eyes glowing as they charged toward the League.

Superman blurred forward first, his fists moving faster than light. Every punch cracked a drone into shrapnel, his cape whipping behind him as he became a one-man storm. Lasers bounced harmlessly off his chest, reflected into their own ranks.

"Clark—left!" Diana shouted. She spun mid-flight, her golden lasso slicing through five drones before wrapping around another and hurling it into its brethren. Her sword followed, a glowing arc that cleaved through their steel shells.

The Lanterns formed their own wall, constructs blazing emerald. Hal Jordan shaped a massive war hammer, smashing a wave into dust. John Stewart's constructs were sharper, precise—blades, turrets, and shields that interlocked with mathematical perfection. Kyle Rayner, ever the artist, crafted a soaring dragon of green light that devoured drones whole.

Hawkman roared, his mace sparking as he smashed through steel skulls. Beside him, Hawkgirl's wings cut arcs of death, her every swing a blur of savagery.

Doctor Fate raised a hand, golden sigils flashing into being. "Anubis, weigh them." His spell detonated with divine fire, vaporizing an entire squadron in a single breath.

Still, the swarm didn't end. Every drone destroyed was replaced with ten more. And then the Warworld itself rumbled, plates shifting.

From its surface, colossal cannons rotated toward Earth.

Superman's eyes narrowed. "Mongul."

The beams fired—dozens at once—blinding lances of energy screaming toward the planet below.

"No—!" Superman shot forward, intercepting one of the beams, straining as it pressed against him like the weight of a sun. Diana joined him, bracing her shield against another. The Lanterns scrambled to divert the rest, constructs bending under the strain.

"Too many!" Hal shouted, his shield fracturing under the pressure.

The impossible truth sank in: they couldn't block them all.

And then Earth answered.

Hundreds of rockets launched skyward, nuclear warheads igniting like shooting stars. Defense satellites unleashed their payloads, intercepting beams and detonating missiles in a chain of light. Earth's militaries, every nation united, fired their last cards into the void.

The sky above the planet burned, a chaotic storm of fire and light. But the beams were stopped. Earth held—for now.

Captain Atom Turned to Superman and said "Earth's defenses won't be able to handle another blow like this....We need to do more!"

"You are right....Let's just hope the ones inside are faster...Then his next strike"

...

Inside the Warworld, Batman's team advanced silently through steel corridors. Nightwing scouted ahead, Red Hood covered the rear, Raven floated just above the ground, shadows curling at her feet.

"Power Room should be up ahead," Nightwing whispered.

Batman raised a hand to halt them. The massive chamber loomed before them—glowing machinery, conduits thrumming with energy. The air vibrated with the heartbeat of a world-killer.

But something was wrong.

The central platform was empty. No generator. No reactor. Nothing.

Instead, a single figure stood there, arms folded, presence so immense it made the air feel heavy.

Mongul.

The warlord smirked as the team froze at the threshold. "So… these are the insects sent to gnaw at my heart." His voice was thunder in the hollow chamber. "Pathetic."

Nightwing's grip on his escrima sticks tightened. "It's a trap."

Red Hood clicked the safety off his pistol. "No kidding."

Raven's cloak fluttered uneasily, dark energy coiling around her fingers. "He's… overwhelming. This place reeks of his aura."

Batman's eyes narrowed. "Who's on the Helm"

Mongul chuckled. "Automated. My Warworld doesn't need my hand to crush yours. I thought it would be more entertaining… to do this personally."

He moved before they could blink. One strike—just a backhand—and Nightwing was hurled across the chamber, slamming into a steel wall so hard it dented.

"Nightwing!" Batman barked, but Mongul's massive fist already descended.

Batman rolled aside, throwing explosive batarangs that detonated in Mongul's face. Smoke filled the chamber—only for Mongul to walk through it, unscathed, his grin widening.

"Firecrackers." He grabbed Red Hood by the throat mid-jump, lifting him like a child's toy. Jason's pistols went off point-blank, bullets pinging uselessly off Mongul's armor.

"Let. Go!" Red Hood snarled, firing until the clips ran dry.

Mongul squeezed tighter, laughing. "You humans… so fragile."

Raven's eyes flashed black. "Azarath… Metrion… Zinthos!" Her power surged, shadowy tendrils wrapping around Mongul's arms, forcing him to release Jason.

For a heartbeat, Mongul actually looked surprised.

Then he pulled, ripping her spell apart like cobwebs. "A child playing sorceress." He stomped forward, swatting her aside, her body skidding across the steel floor.

Nightwing struggled to his feet, blood dripping from his forehead. "We can't… match him head-on."

Batman's expression didn't change, though his jaw clenched. He stepped forward, cape flaring, voice calm and firm. "Focus. Adapt. Delay him if we can't beat him. The others need time."

Mongul laughed, towering over them all. "Delay me? You don't understand. You're not warriors. You're prey."

And with that, he launched forward, the chamber shaking with every blow. Team Alpha was caught in the storm of Mongul's wrath.

...

The halls of Warworld echoed with the metallic shrieks of drones. They came in waves, claws scraping, cannons charging.

Jason didn't move. Not an inch.

Cleave.

A single arc of red energy tore the air apart, and the drones fell in pieces before they could get within striking distance. Smoke hissed from their ruptured frames as Jason lowered his blade casually, eyes already scanning further ahead.

"Effortless," Batgirl muttered under her breath.

Before they could advance, the comms crackled. Batman's voice—strained."This is Team Alpha—there's a problem. Intel was wrong—we've made contact with Mongul—we need—ugh—"

Static. Silence. The line went dead.

Zatanna's eyes widened. "Mongul? Isn't he supposed to be here?!"

Jason clenched his jaw, already making his decision. He turned to the others, voice sharp and steady."You three continue this on your own. I can trust you to handle it, right?"

They exchanged looks, then nodded in unison.

Jason's eyes softened for a brief second. "This is Jason. Stay strong. I'm coming."

Without hesitation, he blurred down the corridor, vanishing back toward Team Alpha's location.

That left the three women standing before an imposing chamber. As they entered, they froze.

It wasn't Mongul's command room. Instead, in the center of the room, suspended by gravitic fields, was a massive glowing object. The Key.

Before they could move toward it, the floor shook. Panels slid open.

Five massive robots emerged, each towering like walking fortresses, bristling with missile pods, plasma cannons, and blades. Their eyes lit blood-red as they locked onto the intruders.

"Well," Canary cracked her knuckles, grinning despite the odds. "Looks like we need to fight these things to get the Key. Time for the ladies to shine."

....

Beast Boy roared in gorilla form, slamming one drone into the ground so hard its chassis shattered. "Tim! This is getting insane!"

Harley Quinn, laughing like a lunatic, swung her bat clean through another's skull. Sparks flew as she twirled, shouting at the top of her lungs:"BLACK FLASH, BABY!"

An explosion followed her words—Green Arrow's arrowhead detonating midair, scattering a cluster of drones into smoking fragments. He spun, loosing another shot with precision."Not to pressure you, Robin, but their numbers are increasing. We need you to be fast."

Robin was kneeling by the alien console, sweat beading on his forehead as his fingers flew across the keys of his handheld linked into the Warworld system."I KNOW, I KNOW!" Tim snapped, eyes locked on his screen. "Cut me some slack here! I was supposed to take the Key, not decipher alien apocalypse tech and shut down the generator!"

"Excuses, excuses!" Harley cackled as she punted another drone over Beast Boy's shoulder. "Work faster, Boy Wonder, before we all end up space scrap!"

Green Arrow gritted his teeth, drawing three arrows at once. "We can't hold forever. Make it work, Tim."

Beast Boy shifted into a rhino, crashing into another squad of drones. "No pressure or anything!"

The chamber rattled with fire and chaos, Robin desperately working while the others fought tooth and nail to hold the line.
