After listening to Akagi Kazuma, Roshi rested for a while in the Iwagakure camp. By the time the Iwa-nin had finished dinner, Ōnoki arrived at the camp.
The moment Rōshi saw him, his eyes widened in surprise. He turned and glared viciously at Akagi Kazuma.
"You bastard, you dared lie to me?"
As he spoke, a tail from the Four-Tails appeared behind him. His entire aura increased, and his strength, which was originally at the Jonin level, had now skyrocketed to the semi-Kage level. Even Akagi Kazuma felt immense pressure.
"Rōshi, stop fooling around. I'm not here to take you back this time."
Hearing this, Rōshi froze for a moment and instinctively asked: "So, you agree to let me go and get my revenge on Gekkō Hoshiyomi?"
Ōnoki gave him a brief glance. Though angered by his recklessness, he replied bluntly:
"Don't waste time. I, Ōnoki, keep my word. Since you want revenge, we'll go straight to Konoha's main camp and kill that Gekkō Hoshiyomi. Once it's done, you come back to Iwagakure with me without causing more chaos—understood?"
Rōshi had come to the battlefield solely to avenge his brother. Hearing this, he obediently agreed without further backtalk.
Akagi Kazuma, however, felt the situation had completely slipped from what he expected. His voice was edged with worry:
"Tsuchikage-sama… is this really wise? The other two Great Villages haven't even deployed their Kage or Jinchūriki yet. If we act now, won't—"
Ōnoki cut him off.
"At this point, there's no other choice. Gekkō Hoshiyomi has already grown into a threat. If I don't personally take the risk to eliminate him now, even more of our people will die."
He tilted his chin toward Rōshi.
"Let's go. We'll strike hard and get back quickly—our village is dangerously exposed right now. If someone takes advantage of our absence, it'll be trouble."
With that, he activated his Light-Weight Rock Jutsu again and flew into the sky. Seeing this, Rōshi knew Ōnoki was serious this time. Excited, he leapt up and hurried after him toward Konoha's camp.
...
Around eight o'clock that night, Konoha's forces had just finished dinner and were carrying out their patrols in an orderly manner.
Ōnoki originally intended to stop and wait until midnight to launch a surprise attack.
But to his surprise, the hotheaded Rōshi charged forward without a second thought, immediately unleashing his signature technique — Lava Release: Scorching Stream Rock Technique.
Ōnoki had been ready to stop him, but then he thought: If the Third Tsuchikage and the Four-Tails' jinchūriki are attacking together, and we're still sneaking around, wouldn't that be far too disgraceful?
So he abandoned the idea of stopping Rōshi and simply hovered above, letting him rampage.
As the Four-Tails' jinchūriki, Rōshi's mastery over Lava Release surpassed even that of his late brother, Yōgan. With just two quick hand seals, he suddenly spewed several ball of molten rock from his mouth.
Facing this sudden magma ball attack, the patrol squad, which was only at the Chunin level, had no way of stopping it. The magma balls landed among them and immediately exploded, causing them to scream in agony before collapsing to the ground.
The screams immediately alerted the main camp. Large numbers of Konoha shinobi came pouring out.
Rōshi, seeing the surge of enemies, showed not the slightest fear. Instead, he shouted at them:
Seeing the large number of Konoha shinobi, a flicker of killing intent flashed in Ōnoki's eyes as he swiftly formed hand seals in midair.
Among the Konoha ranks, a member of the Uzumaki clan spotted him and went pale.
"Run! There's a terrifying enemy in the sky!"
Hoshiyomi, Jiraiya, and Shinku heard the commotion and stepped out of their tent — only to be confronted with a terrifying, pure white chakra fluctuation in the sky.
That short, hovering figure was instantly recognizable to them — none other than Iwagakure's Third Tsuchikage, the wielder of the Dust Release kekkei tōta: Ōnoki of Both Scales!
The three of them were struck with shock. They didn't even have time to think about why Onoki would suddenly appear on the battlefield in the Land of Rain. They just yelled at the stunned crowd, "Everyone, scatter and run!"
From the air, Ōnoki immediately spotted the three of them, his gaze locking firmly onto Hoshiyomi in the center. A cold smile crept over his face, as if he were already looking at three corpses.
"You little brats, let me show you the power of Iwagakure. Go to hell and repent, Konoha brats."
Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World Technique!
As the words left his mouth, the unstable white distortion swiftly expanded, taking the form of a cylindrical, semi-transparent barrier.
With Ōnoki's aim set, one side of the spherical barrier opened, and a pillar of pure white light burst outward. That devastating beam, capable of erasing all in its path, was aimed squarely at the Konoha main command tent where Hoshiyomi had just been.
The cylindrical pillar of light, which was powerful enough to turn anything into dust, landed with a roar. With a cruel smile on his face, Onoki mercilessly controlled the Detachment of the Primitive World Technique to draw a straight line from Hoshiyomi's tent.
Everything in the path of the pillar of light was turned into a white expanse, as everything within it was constantly being broken down and stripped into its most basic atoms
It was as if all the light in the world had been stripped away in that instant. The huge pillar of light created by the Dust Release was so clear in the dark night.
From a distance, the people in the Iwagakure camp cheered when they saw this. They knew that no living being could survive the Tsuchikage's Detachment of the Primitive World Technique. With the Konohagakure camp taking a direct hit from this pillar of light, a heavy loss of life was inevitable.
At last, the pillar of light gradually dispersed, and the sky returned to its usual darkness.
In the Konoha camp, a massive chasm now cut across the ground — perfectly straight and smooth, with no debris or corpses remaining. Everything had been reduced to dust.
On both sides of the chasm, countless shinobi sat collapsed on the ground, completely broken in spirit. Against such a godlike display of wrath, they couldn't even muster the will to resist.
It was too strong. So strong that it was completely despair-inducing.
Among the survivors, Jiraiya and Shinku were also looking at the huge chasm in silence..
Dust Release wasn't particularly fast, and the three — Hoshiyomi included — had reacted in time, using the Body Flicker Technique to evade. None of them had been struck directly.
Even so, faced with such overwhelming power, even veterans of their caliber couldn't help but feel a shiver of fear.
