The Sword and Mystic sect were doing their best, trying to hold off the onslaught of demons that invaded the capital. They were overwhelmed by the sheer number of men who wanted their society destroyed.
Still, they didn't lose hope and continued to push forward.
Thankfully, the majority of the men were unskilled and lacked discipline, so they were easy to kill, but the ones who were the complete opposite of that were menaces to deal with.
"Sagana, watch out!" Nuela rushed in front of her and blocked an attack that was aimed at Sagana's back.
The force of the impact dislocated her shoulder, and the demonic energy made her ki act up for a bit, but she was fine other than that.
"Nuela! Are you okay?" Sagana relocated Neula's shoulder to get her back into the action.
"Thanks. And yeah, I'm okay. Although we need to be careful. Whoever attacked you was extremely powerful."
"Was I now?"
