In the endless dark beyond death, his soul was summoned. A formless presence awaited him.
"Who… are you?" he asked, his voice echoing in nothingness.
"I am the Unknown. The All-Knowing. But even I could not foresee you surviving the Void," the voice replied.
The Unknown told him the truth—of the family he had lost, sealed in a decaying realm that would last only twenty years. Of his twin brother, now age 12, training with everything he was destined to inherit: one of the Top Ten Divine Physiques, a Supreme Bloodline, and Eyes of the Heavenly Mirror—one of the Ten Sacred Eye Arts.
But it was not too late.
"I offer you five wishes. Choose wisely."
And so he did:
1. "I wish to have a Divine Physique, a Supreme Bloodline, and one of the Ten Sacred Eye Arts equal to my brother's."
2. "I wish for accelerated training, for me and my brother both."
3. "I wish for unrivaled talent in bladesmanship, and my brother in swordsmanship."
4. "I wish for a personal training dimension—one with the finest resources in existence."
5. "And lastly… I wish for a beast companion—born of the strongest bloodline you can offer."
The Unknown smiled, a gesture unseen.
"Granted."
His soul was remade—his body reconstructed into what it was always meant to be: a young boy, twelve years old, with midnight-black hair that shimmered like the void and eyes of burning crimson. Handsome, flawless, deadly.
"Now, return. To the Heavencloud Continent."
