A magical dome spread around Kuoh Academy and covered the entire area. If Kokabiel decided to fight seriously, he could easily erase the entire town from existence, so to let the girls fight without any burden, Yusuke erected a barrier.
During the past month, Yusuke not only honed his skills but also devoted most of his attention to learning how to utilize Magic and Demonic Power.
Rias and Koneko appeared at the ORC and headed to where Kokabiel and his goons were. Rias was not overly worried about his threat because she knew Grayfia would step in if things went out of control, and Yusuke was also around.
If it were the old her, she would not want to involve Grayfia or Sirzechs because she was too proud to rely on her family, and she did not want to cause her brother any trouble. However, the her right now prioritizes Yusuke over everything. She was close to finishing her plans and getting Yusuke all for herself, and she refused to let anything ruin that.
Not to mention, strictly speaking, this Kokabiel guy was here to cause trouble for her brother. It made perfect sense that he should be the one to deal with Kokabiel, not Rias.
Right after she reached the middle of the school field, she saw three swords floating in the air and releasing intense light. With the swords at the center, a suspicious-looking magic circle covered the entire field. An old man stood in the middle of that magic circle, and it was Valper Galilei.
"What is that?" Koneko stared at the scene and spoke in her quiet voice.
Valper Galilei turned toward her and answered with a proud tone, "I am going to merge the three Excaliburs into one."
"Fusing the Excaliburs?!" The shout came just as Sona, Tsubaki, Raynare, Kalawarna, Murayama, Aika, Akeno, Xenovia, Irina, and Asia rushed in. They had teleported to the Student Council room first before hurrying over.
Xenovia and Irina glared at Valper Galilei, who stood in the middle of the magic circle.
"Valper. How much longer will it take for the Excaliburs to merge?" A voice echoed from above, and when everyone looked up, they saw Kokabiel with the moon behind him. He sat on a chair in the sky, looking down on them while confidently crossing his legs.
"It won't even take five minutes, Kokabiel," the old man replied.
"Is that so. I will leave it to you then." Kokabiel turned his gaze to Sona and Rias and said, "Sisters of the Maous, you came. Did you call Serafall or Sirzechs?"
"In any case, for the next five minutes, I'll allow you all to entertain me."
He was a war veteran who had survived the Great War, the one that even claimed the lives of the Great Maous and God. He had every right to look down on a bunch of stupid teen kids.
"Oh, you were talking to me?" Sona tilted her head as if surprised, then spoke in an apologetic tone, "Sorry, I was thinking of a way to cleanse my ears of your disgusting voice, so I couldn't hear you."
"..." Kokabiel's grin twitched slightly.
"Ouch! I never knew Kaichou was this good with her mouth!" On the far end, next to Yusuke, Sona's Bishop, Reya Kusaka, exclaimed in shock.
The Sona they knew was a stern, dignified yet gentle woman, extremely smart and efficient in her work. Seeing her talk back to Kokabiel like that was completely unexpected for her peerage, who were used to her strict and unforgiving personality.
Reya Kusaka was a slim girl with long brown hair that ended in two braids and matching brown eyes. She was soft-spoken and polite, and one of the many girls who were in love with Kiba.
'Oh, you'll be surprised just how good her mouth is,' Yusuke smirked involuntarily upon hearing her words.
"Kaichou changed and Fukukaichou changed a lot recently, fufufu, is this the power of love?" The voice belonged to Tomoe Meguri, Sona's Knight. She was a lively and cheerful girl from the Meguri Clan, a family of exorcists who made exorcising demons their way of life.
She was a beautiful girl with shoulder-length reddish-brown hair tied into twintails and brown eyes, and she also had a slight crush on Kiba.
The other member of Sona's peerage was a Bishop, Momo Hanakai, a beautiful girl with white hair and blue-green eyes. She knew about the Sitri Clan because her father worked in one of their companies, and she later joined Sona's peerage.
And yes, she also had feelings for Kiba.
Lastly, there was Sona's Rook, Tsubasa Yura, a tall beauty with blue hair and blue eyes. She had the look of a classic tomboy, even more so than the thick and cute Xenovia.
When she was young, she had the ability to see supernatural beings and touch them, often engaging in fights with them. Later, because of this special talent, Sona reincarnated her as a Devil.
She was also the only member of the peerage who did not have feelings for Kiba.
Aside from Sona's Pawn, Aika, and her Knight, Murayama, the other peerage members were far too weak to take part in this dangerous battle. She ordered them to stay close to Yusuke and follow his commands.
Swoosh!
BOOMM!
Without any warning, a gigantic spear of light shot toward Sona and the women around her. When it struck, a massive pillar of light erupted, spreading over thirty meters in diameter and soaring more than half a kilometer into the sky!
"It seems that Serafall is not only trash as a Maou, but also useless at educating her little sister," Kokabiel said in a bored tone. Though he looked unconcerned, it was clear that Sona's words had managed to rile him.
Swoosh!
Suddenly, an extremely fast purple light shot from behind him, aiming straight for his back. It came with unexpected speed.
Puff!
Countless black feathers scattered through the air as Murayama landed on the ground, staring at Kokabiel with a smirk and licking her blood-red lips. "Next time, it won't miss."
Kokabiel, after all, was a war veteran. Even though the attack was sudden, he managed to evade it at the last moment, causing Murayama to miss and only graze his wings, sending feathers scattering everywhere.
Murayama's Amethyst Night was an incredibly sharp sword that also boosted her speed and strength, making her movements lightning fast.
"Sacred Gears? God's toys are sure annoying," Kokabiel said, staring at Murayama with cold eyes.
BOOMM! BOOMM! BOOMM!!
None of the women was interested in talking to a man who was not Yusuke. Three columns of fire shot toward him from different directions.
Kokabiel quickly flapped his wings, soaring higher to dodge. He flew past the first pillar and twisted his body to barely evade the second. But as he moved past it, the third pillar was already in front of him. He rapidly conjured multiple magic circles to block it.
A massive explosion engulfed him, sending a huge fireball soaring into the sky.
The three who had attacked were Aika, Kalawarna, and Raynare. They often trained their Fire Dragon Slayer Magic in conjunction with Observation Haki, learning how to predict their opponent's movements and direct their attacks toward where their target would move.
Right now, all the girls who possess Observation Haki and Fire Dragon Slayer Magic have leveled up their skills to Level 3. They had reached Level 2 through their own hard work and achieved Level 3 thanks to Yusuke's Master's Blessing.
BOOMM! BOOMM!!
Before the fireball in the sky could fade, another fire column shot out, exploding on contact and causing the massive fireball to grow even larger. The intense heat and shockwaves spread in all directions, making the trees sway violently and shattering the windows' glass.
The one who had launched the attack was Tsubaki.
"Damn it! These women are strong! I need to work harder, or I won't be able to be with Darling!" Irina and Xenovia, who had been running toward Valper, came to a halt. The former spoke with a frustrated tone.
Rumble! Rumble!
Not giving the leader of the fallen angels a chance, more attacks rained down on him. This time, a thick lightning bolt descended from the sky.
The bolt was incredibly dense and surrounded by a radiant white Holy Power.
This was Akeno's attack, Holy Lightning, a power she inherited from her father, whom she hated deeply. She also used Telekinesis to condense the Holy Lightning, making it thicker and far more destructive.
Koneko wasn't the only one trying to overcome her past and mental scars for Yusuke. Akeno was willing to go to any length as well; her pride, pain, and sorrow meant nothing compared to her love and obsession for him.
Since the day she had nearly died in his arms and saw him crying for her, she swore never to let him feel that kind of pain again. She vowed to use everything at her disposal to create a beautiful world for him.
So even though she had once hated and despised the blood in her veins, she was now willing to embrace the power she had once loathed in order to become stronger.
It was somewhat ironic that most of Rias's peerage members were clearly strong, yet for different reasons, they were unwilling to unleash their full power.
The explosion dispersed the fireball, revealing Kokabiel's form. His clothes were charred, exposing his burned upper body, and his long, loosely hanging hair had also been singed by the fire and lightning. Aside from that, he did not appear to be seriously injured.
"Holy Lightning, Baraqiel's daughter, heh... how nostalgic. But compared to him, you are still weak! This is interesting! You're much stronger than I expected, and you'll give me even more fun than I anticipated! Hahaha!" Despite his messy appearance, Kokabiel showed no anger. On the contrary, he laughed loudly, spreading his arms and throwing his head back.
Swoosh!
A purple light flashed past him, grazing his cheek, as Murayama's disgusted voice rang out, "Shut the fuck up. Did anyone ever tell you that your voice is annoying?"
"Yes, they did, but all of them died soon after," Kokabiel said calmly, wiping the blood trailing down his cheek. "Since you've made your attacks, it's time for me to make my move, right?"
