Chapter 3 - The lotus bond

Chapter 3 – The Lotus Bond

The dawn sun filtered through the misty canopy of Moon Lotus Valley, painting golden veins across the landscape. The scent of blooming spirit herbs mixed with the earthy notes of morning dew, yet nothing was more intoxicating to Lin Feng than the lingering aroma of her on his skin.

Yue Chan was gone—vanished before first light like a phantom—but she had left more than memory. She had awakened something within him.

His meridians now pulsed with a warmth that hadn't existed before, as if her essence still flowed within him. His dantian glowed faintly with golden qi, coiling like a celestial serpent awaiting command.

Clad in a clean robe, Lin Feng sat beneath a lotus tree, his mind a storm of thoughts.

The Dual Moon Sect. Forbidden techniques. Desire as power. And her—Yue Chan, with eyes like midnight and a touch that made the stars tremble.

Was she real? Or had the heavens granted him a vision?

No. The mark on his chest, a faint imprint of twin moons, was proof. Her cultivation was real. Her teachings were dangerous.

And he wanted more.

---

A soft rustling stirred the air behind him.

"I see the girl left you glowing," came a voice—playful, teasing.

Lin Feng turned his head to see a young woman descending the hill path, a bundle of herbs slung over her shoulder. Her robes were simple, moss green trimmed with gold, and her face carried the soft beauty of spring: kind eyes, flushed cheeks, lips that looked like they'd just tasted honey.

"Xiaoyu?" he blinked, surprised.

Lin Xiaoyu—his childhood friend. Once the shy daughter of a healer, now a spirited cultivator in training. She stopped beside him, eyeing the faint qi swirling in his aura.

"You've changed," she said softly.

"I had… help."

She sat beside him, not touching, but close enough for her presence to stir the qi in the air.

"Everyone thought you were dead, Lin Feng. When you were cast from the Iron Sky Sect… your name was stripped. Your cultivation abolished. I waited. I prayed. But after a month…"

"You thought I was gone."

"I cried every night."

He turned to look at her—really look. Her hands, though small, bore calluses from gathering herbs. Her sleeves smelled of crushed spirit grass. Yet her eyes held something fierce, like a storm waiting to rise.

"Then I owe you an apology," he whispered.

She reached out and took his hand. "No. You owe me your promise… that you won't disappear again."

Their eyes met—and held.

Qi stirred between them.

Xiaoyu blinked. "What is that? That… warmth?"

Lin Feng gently guided her hand to his chest, where the dual moon mark pulsed softly. Her eyes widened.

"You've formed a soul bond?"

"With a cultivator named Yue Chan. She showed me a different path. One the sects fear."

"She dual cultivated with you?"

Her voice trembled slightly. Whether in surprise, jealousy, or something deeper, Lin Feng wasn't sure. But her pulse quickened in his hand.

"Yes," he said.

Silence.

Then, to his surprise, Xiaoyu whispered, "Show me."

His heart stuttered. "What?"

"Show me… what she showed you. I want to feel what awakened you. I want to walk this path—with you."

Her face burned crimson, but her voice did not falter. "If this path gives you power… if it lets you rise again… then let me rise with you."

---

Moments later, they knelt facing each other in a grove of glowing moonlotuses. The petals shimmered, releasing soft motes of light into the air, like fireflies made of qi.

Xiaoyu's robe slipped from her shoulders, revealing soft, trembling skin. She was nervous—but unafraid.

"This is more than desire," Lin Feng said gently. "This is resonance. Are you sure?"

She nodded. "I want to be part of your world, Lin Feng. No matter how dangerous. No matter how intimate."

He placed his hands on her waist. She mirrored him, resting hers over his heart. A soft golden thread formed between them—qi aligning.

Their lips met.

Not with fire like Yue Chan's, but with warmth—like a sunrise blooming in the soul. Their cultivation flowed into one another, slow and steady, building pressure like a deep well filling to the brim.

Xiaoyu gasped as the first wave hit her.

"Oh… Lin Feng… this… this is…"

"Let it flow," he whispered, guiding her breath with his own.

Their qi spiraled tighter, becoming a golden helix. With each heartbeat, she fed his core, and he fed hers. A dual lotus bloomed in the air above them, petals opening with each shared sigh, each trembling kiss, each shiver of spiritual pleasure.

Their bodies trembled, not in lust alone—but in communion.

This was the Lotus Bond, the second level of the Moon Silk Technique.

Lin Feng felt himself breaking through. His core expanded, refining. Xiaoyu's cultivation shot forward—breaking through two minor realms at once. Their bond sealed in fire and moonlight.

And when they collapsed, side by side, bathed in moonlotus light and their mingled breath, she reached out and laced her fingers with his.

"I want to be part of your harem," she whispered.

He turned to her, stunned.

"Harem?" he chuckled.

"I'm not stupid, Lin Feng. Yue Chan may have been first, but I'll carve my place in your legend."

He kissed her forehead. "You already have."
