The story begins from the past where Shen came to know that there will be a warrior of black and white who will stop him...
Shen was furious and wanted to kill all those who matched the description.
But was only a panda who was black and white in color? No.
There were many who were killed by him. Like the snow leopards, snow tigers, pandas and many more.
After killing many who matched the description, he came to the conclusion he will kill some selected species like snow tigers, snow leopards and pandas.
He came to know that the snow tigers and the snow leopards are neighbours but their village was separated by a big mountain.
On one side lived all the leopards and on the other lived all the snow tigers.
Shen planned a complete strategy to kill one side first and then he will kill others.
He planned everything—his guards, his cannons.
He was about to strike the village at midnight. First his target was snow leopards.
And he did strike.
First, he strikes at the leopard village. He used his cannons to destroy everyone there.
But there was one leopard who survived with his cub. He took his cub and ran away from the village.
Shen sent his guards behind him and he himself went to the other side with his cannons.
He almost killed everyone there but one family somehow survived that attack.
That family was of snow tigers. They said to their kid, who was 9 years old—his name was Tigor
Father: Go hide.
So he did.
But when Shen and his guards saw Tigor hiding...
Shen: Bring him to me.
As their family was injured due to that attack, Tigor's father was not able to do anything.
Shen: You may be or may not be the warrior of black and white who is destined to stop me. But who knows what you are, what can you become? No one knows.
Shen was such a mindless being that he thought he would not kill Tigor, but instead he would kill his parents in front of his eyes and would emotionally kill Tigor.
Shen killed both his father and mother, and left Tigor there to die.
Shen: You will live a life worse than death.
He left.
Now Tigor was all alone. He cried very much for some time.
Now the scene shifts and we saw that the snow leopard who ran away with his cub had run far away from his village—very far.
He was very much exhausted.
He saw a village and ran into it.
He saw a big palace on a cliff. He quickly climbed up with all the stamina left in his body.
Shen's guards were still chasing him.
He was standing in front of that big palace. He left his cub in front of the door of that palace, just having hope that even if he dies, his cub would be safe.
As the guards arrived...
Snow Leopard: I am here!
He started fighting them but as he was very exhausted, he didn't last much longer.
He tried to escape but got shot by an arrow. He was standing near a land uplifted very much from the normal ground.
So, after getting shot, he fell off that place and died.
But the thing is that those dumb guards were trying to find that last cub on the normal ground.
As they were not able to do so, they returned.
Then after all those left, the door opened—and guess who came out?
Shifu came out and took that cub with him and named him Tai Lung.
On the other hand, Tigor was found by some people but he didn't tell them what happened with him.
Those people took Tigor with them and they took him to Master Jindiao (the first Dragon Warrior who was defeated by his students after he turned evil).
This guy in the above picture is Master Jindiao (not the official image—it is taken from DeviantArt).
He was bad, but not evil.
Tigor told him everything and Jindiao decided that he will train him.
Now Tigor was his student.
Now 2 weeks passed.
Now Shen had planned to attack the Panda village.
So he did.
The first time he attacked, he was defeated by the Ancient Panda Master.
But after getting defeated so badly, he took rest for 1 year.
But in this one year, a panda was born who was unnatural compared to other pandas.
The only thing which made him unique was—he was a panda but he was very physical and had a very perfect physique.
He was named Lei.
And the thing was that he was the brother of our main character Po.
He was unique and perfect from the birth.
His master was that Ancient Panda Master.
He began his training at the age of 5 years and trained till 7 years of age.
But why only 2 years of training?
Shen struck again after 2 years—but this time with all preparation.
He needed more powerful cannons and a bigger army.
So he again struck at night.
Lei: Leave and find a safe place. While Master and I hold Shen and his army back.
As the cannon was stronger and better and Shen even had a bigger army, the Panda Master was still not aware of the power.
So he stood against it without any fear—and he got shot like the Master Thundering Rhino.
Lei was still holding them back but trying to protect others, he wasn't able to protect himself.
He fought well and almost defeated Shen.
But in between the fight he got a diagonal cut on his face.
And when he was about to die, he said to Shen.
Lei: Mark my words... this is not my end. I will kill you, Shen. Let that time come.
And Shen killed him.
Shen, without killing anyone else, left—just knowing that he killed the strongest panda and his student was dead.
He left—and Lei almost defeated him.
But now, everything as shown in all the previous Kung Fu Panda movies happens.
And the story came into present.
