Chapter 25 - Chapter 25

Nolan stared drowsily at the two glowing blue eyes resting in his palms. They pulsed with faint energy, their celestial light reflecting in his tired pink eyes. After a long moment of consideration, he exhaled through his nose.

"Not worth it," he muttered to himself. The power was tempting, sure - but limited to this floating island? And him? Stuck playing sky god forever? Hell no. He'd rather nap.

"Conis... of Skypeia," he called out, his voice carrying that particular lazy drawl that somehow commanded immediate attention. The Skypeians scrambled like startled birds, their sandals slapping against marble as they rushed to fetch the girl.

Within minutes, both Conis and Aisa stood before him - one trembling with nervous reverence, the other staring up with that unsettling, knowing gaze of hers. Nolan studied them through half-lidded eyes before reaching out with both hands.

"Blessing... or whatever," he yawned, placing a hand on each girl's head. His fingers brushed their eyelids as he continued, "Be the justice... of this place. or.. fuck that.. do what you want."

With movements so casual they bordered on careless, he pressed the Senrigan into their eyes - the left for Aisa, the right for Conis. The girls gasped in unison as the divine power took root, their new eyes flashing open to reveal swirling pools of celestial blue that captivated every onlooker.

Nolan stumbled back a step, suddenly looking more drained than usual. "Wyper. Gan Fall. Protect," he slurred, already half-asleep on his feet.

The named warriors didn't need explanation. Wyper's liquor cup hit the ground with a clatter as he dropped to one knee, his proud Shandian heritage shining through his drunken haze. Beside him, Gan Fall mirrored the gesture with all the dignity of a former god.

"I, Wyper, descendant of Kalgara," the warrior boomed, fist over heart, "swear my blade to your protection!"

"And I, Gan Fall," the old knight added solemnly, "pledge my remaining years to your safety!"

The crowd erupted in cheers and applause, tears streaming down many faces. Children pointed excitedly at the newly-blessed girls while elders whispered of a golden age to come. The celebration kicked back into full swing, the alcohol flowing even freer than before.

As dawn's first light crept over the horizon, the Straw Hats lay scattered across the ruins in various states of intoxication and exhaustion. Luffy snored loudly with a meat bone still clutched in one hand. Zoro had passed out leaning against a broken pillar, three empty bottles at his feet. Even Nami had succumbed, curled up beside Robin with a content smile.

And high above them all, Nolan floated on his nimbus cloud, already deep in sleep, his divine robes fluttering gently in the morning breeze. His work here was done.

---

A newfound peace settled over the sky islands like morning mist. The Shandians and Skypeians, once bitter enemies, now moved about Upper Yard together - former warriors helping rebuild what Enel's reign had destroyed, children from both tribes playing games across the cloud-strewn ruins. The massive golden bell stood silent sentinel over it all, its surface gleaming in the sunlight.

Down at the docks, the Straw Hats bustled around a miraculously restored Going Merry. Usopp scratched his head, examining the ship's familiar contours. "I swear last night she still had those weird bamboo extensions..."

Nolan lounged against the railing, cracking one eye open. "Mm. Fixed itself."

"You know who did it, don't you?" Robin observed with her usual perceptive smile.

Nolan simply yawned in response, which everyone understood as confirmation.

Nearby, Nami let out an exaggerated sigh, her eyes locked hungrily on the distant golden bell. "We're really just leaving all that gold behind? That bell alone could buy a small country!" She clutched her chest dramatically. "It physically hurts to walk away from it."

Nolan considered this for a moment before murmuring, "Nami. Gold, want?"

The navigator teleported to his side instantly, her eyes transforming into berry symbols. "Want! Want! Want!" She bounced on her toes like an excited child offered candy.

Nolan patted the space beside him on his king-sized Nimbus Rest. "Get... in..."

Nami didn't need to be told twice. She practically dove onto the floating cloud, immediately melting into its heavenly softness. "Ahhh... this is what paradise must feel like," she sighed, stretching out like a content cat. As she turned toward Nolan, she found herself staring at his serene profile - the way the sunlight caught his long lashes, the peaceful rise and fall of his chest. Without realizing, she'd begun leaning closer...

"Enjoying the view, navigator-san?" Robin's amused voice snapped Nami back to reality.

"W-what? No! I was just... checking if he was asleep!" Nami's face burned as she scrambled upright, brushing imaginary dust from her clothes.

Below them, the rest of the crew continued preparations undisturbed. Sanji arranged baskets of sky vegetables in the galley while Chopper organized his newly acquired medicinal herbs. Zoro... well, Zoro has been trying to take a nap however Yachiru won't allow that. Who will play with her?

The nimbus cloud lifted smoothly into the air, carrying its three passengers with effortless grace. Nolan didn't need to steer - the cloud moved with its own consciousness, responding to his unspoken directions through some mysterious connection.

As they soared over the cloud sea, Nami's jaw dropped. Before them lay the massive Enel's Ark Maxim, its golden figurehead glinting in the sunlight. "Is... is the entire face solid gold?!" Her voice hit an octave normally only audible to bats.

Nolan gave a lazy nod, watching as Nami nearly vibrated off the cloud with excitement.

Robin examined the colossal ship thoughtfully. "An interesting find, though I wonder..." She turned to Nolan. "How exactly do you propose we transport several tons of gold back to Merry?"

Nolan blinked slowly. Then blinked again. This was clearly a detail he hadn't considered.

However, it seems like the system is always on his support.

[Ding! Host gained an epiphany...!

Congratulations on successfully triggering a 10 times critic...!

Host has obtained a pair of Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan Eyes!]

[Item: Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.

Description:

A crimson iris, split by a triple-bladed shuriken pattern, swirls with unnatural depth. To meet its gaze is to know your existence is optional—for this eye does not see the present. It sees the void between moments, where flesh and steel are as fragile as paper.

 Abilities:

 1. "Phantom Step" (Short-Range Kamui)

- Phase through any object or attack by shifting your body into the Kamui Dimension.

- Duration: Up to 5 minutes of continuous intangibility.

- Limitation: Cannot attack while phased (unless you teleport limbs strategically).

 2. "Dimensional Maw" (Long-Range Kamui)

- Tear open vortexes that suck targets into the Kamui Dimension.

- Range: 50 meters (anything farther requires precise aim).

- Limitation: Living targets resist—strong willpower (Haki users) can partially resist.

 3. "Pocket Realm" (Kamui Dimension Access)

- Store/retrieve objects (or people) in a personal void-world.

- Storage Limit: 3 battleship's worth of mass.

- Warning: The dimension is empty, soundless, and crushing—trapped foes go mad within hours.

 Weaknesses:

- "Blind Spot" – Cannot warp things moving too fast (e.g., Kizaru's light-speed kicks).

- "Dimension Lock" – Space-restricting powers (e.g., Law's Room, Blackbeard's Darkness) can block Kamui. ]

'Kamui, huh...?' Nolan mused internally. His gaze drifted between Nami's starry-eyed gold obsession and the massive golden figurehead. A slow smirk crept across his face.

He cleared his throat. "Who wants... cool eyes?" His voice carried that particular lazy drawl that somehow made even eyeball transplants sound mundane.

Nami's curiosity instantly piqued, her head tilting like an intrigued cat. Robin maintained her usual composure, though her slight lean forward betrayed her interest.

With all the ceremony of someone pulling loose change from their pocket, Nolan produced two swirling red eyes from thin air. The tomoe pattern pulsed ominously in his palms.

"EW!" Nami recoiled so violently she nearly tumbled off the nimbus cloud. "Those are disgusting! They look like they belong to some creepy demon!" Her nose scrunched in distaste - she preferred the celestial beauty of the Senrigan, not these nightmare-fuel eyeballs.

Robin, ever the scholar, examined them with academic interest but ultimately shook her head. "While fascinating from an archaeological perspective..."

Nolan sighed. "Women... ridiculous standards." To him, the Kamui eyes were works of art - the perfect blend of power and aesthetic. Not as flashy as those fancy eyes from Boruto maybe, but come on, dimensional warping was the pinnacle of masculine romance!

"Not... permanent," he explained through a yawn. "Only... looks like this when active."

Nami's protest died in her throat as the gears turned in her thieving mind. A storage dimension she could access at will? No more hauling heavy treasure? Her pupils morphed into beli symbols. "I WANT THEM!" she shrieked, hands shooting up like an overeager student.

Robin chuckled. "I believe I'll wait for something more... suited to my needs." The unspoken 'and less horrifying-looking' hung in the air.

The implantation process was as casual as everything else Nolan did - one moment Nami was grimacing in anticipation, the next she was blinking with newly acquired ocular powers. The crimson hue faded to her normal brown when deactivated.

"Whoa..." Nami's first attempt at using Kamui sent her tumbling into the pocket dimension, where she found herself surrounded by inexplicable boxes floating in endless space. Emerging with a gasp, she immediately turned her hungry gaze toward the golden figurehead.

With dramatic flair, she activated her new eyes. The air warped as a swirling vortex consumed the massive golden artifact. The strain hit her like a sack of bricks - she collapsed backward onto Nolan's chest, panting heavily but grinning like she'd just won the world's greatest lottery.

"Worth... it..." she wheezed, already mentally spending her new fortune.
