Chapter 264: Method, Advancement, Slumber, and School Motto
"Sigh." After Salazar left, Godric also lost his usual cheerfulness with obvious sadness.
At the same time, due to Chaos's leakage, Aiden's sealing methods became increasingly ineffective.
The other three founders worried endlessly about this matter, and Lady Rowena even collapsed from exhaustion once.
With another summer's arrival, Lady Rowena's daughter also entered the school.
Looking at the young Lady Grey before him, Aiden finally understood what her gaze meant when he first entered Hogwarts.
"Haha, get up, Helena! This level of training won't be enough to handle the dangers outside."
In the duelling classroom, Aiden's spell passed over Helena's head, detonating the ground behind her.
"Are you trying to kill me, you bastard!" Helena said, getting up and kicking Aiden's shin.
"Haha." Aiden said, patting her head and handing her a candy.
"I told you I'm not a child!"
Though Helena protested, she honestly took the candy and popped it in her mouth, her eyes curving into crescents.
"Aiden!" Lady Rowena approached with obvious urgency.
"Hmph." Little Helena pouted and turned away.
"I still suggest you spend more time with your daughter," Aiden advised gently.
"I'd like to, but Chaos's fragments... sigh." Lady Rowena said with a deep sigh.
"What do you need me for?" Aiden asked, seeing Rowena's dejection and changing the subject.
"Hogwarts' seal... might not hold much longer," Lady Rowena said with obvious worry.
They immediately rushed to the core, where Godric and Lady Helga held up their wands, desperately plugging the gaps.
The silver chains Aiden had bound earlier were now cracked, and the entire seal was becoming precarious.
"So we three..." Godric began, but Aiden interrupted.
"Let me do it," Aiden said with determination.
"No!" came three voices in unison.
"If we let a child sacrifice himself, we old folks would lose all face," Godric said firmly.
"No, you don't understand. I don't belong to this era," Aiden revealed to them.
"So?" Lady Rowena asked.
"You already knew?!" Aiden asked, his eyes widening in shock.
"After all, your creations called taps and water supply systems aren't something people of our era could conceive," Lady Helga said with a knowing wink.
"Just don't know why Salazar liked that thing so much," Godric complained.
"Haha, perhaps snakes and dragons are related," Aiden said, also breathing a sigh of relief.
"Don't worry. I'll suppress Chaos until the world enters peace, and I won't die. If I can calculate the time correctly, I'll be able to safely return to my era."
Aiden stepped forward and gave each of them a heartfelt hug.
When it came to Lady Rowena, she whispered in Aiden's ear, "You're a Ravenclaw, aren't you!"
Aiden gave her a look without speaking, but Lady Rowena smiled knowingly.
"Well then, everyone, I'm glad to have met you and to have encountered you all." Aiden said, bowing to them with respect.
Then he pulled out a test tube filled with pure water and removed the gem from his neck.
Inside the gem, a wisp of thin mist floated up... mist that seemed like an unreal, dream-born, grey-white brain.
Using magic to pinch the mist and merge it with pure water, the water immediately became a potion reflecting starlight.
The potion emanated points of starlight, like individual dreams floating within.
Aiden brought the test tube to his lips and drank the potion completely.
His body dissipated before the three's eyes.
Helga, Rowena, and Godric stared in shock. "!!??"
Aiden felt like he was merging with the collective unconscious sea. His physical body continuously turned to smoke and finally combined with his spirit.
He was carried by gentle winds to above the collective unconscious sea.
The dreams Aiden had woven for wizards and Muggles became countless dreamscapes surrounding him.
Innumerable thoughts grew from his body, merging into these dreams.
Finally, the dreams spiralled and constructed his body inch by inch.
This is Sequence 3... Dream Weaver? With a single thought, Aiden could construct incredibly detailed dreams to immerse enemies within.
Well, though the system knows the host is feeling great right now, could you wait to feel great? Your friends outside are going crazy with worry, the system untimely interrupted.
Aiden stared in exasperation. "..."
Dreams swirled around as clothes were woven onto Aiden's body. With a thought, he returned to Hogwarts' core.
"Aiden!" came three relieved voices.
"Uh, sorry, I just went to enhance my abilities," Aiden explained sheepishly.
"Are you trying to scare us to death?" Lady Rowena asked, knocking Aiden's head.
"But this time it's really goodbye. And don't tell little Helena," Aiden said, winking at Lady Rowena.
"She'll hate you to death," Lady Rowena said, her brows drooping with obvious sadness.
"Haha, then tell her I'm waiting for her in the future!"
Laughing heartily, Aiden walked toward the seal. His ability activated, and he became a wisp of smoke merging into the seal.
The Bone Church manifested, completely sealing the flow of space-time within.
In the collective unconscious sea, the shattered Deep Realm King Chaos had been waiting.
"Come, my enemy. Let us be enemies again until a thousand years hence," Aiden said with resolve.
On this battlefield of consciousness, two divine beings began endless combat.
Outside, the remaining three founders sadly left Hogwarts' core as the purple light within began to slumber.
Hogwarts' entire core trembled and reintegrated into the collective unconscious sea.
"Mom, where's Aiden?" Helena asked, cheerfully coming to Aiden's office but seeing her sorrowful mother.
Lady Rowena didn't know how to explain to her daughter.
Life at Hogwarts continued. From some unknown point, a school motto called "Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus" (Never Tickle a Sleeping Dragon) began circulating in the school.
In Hogwarts' core, two figures slumbered through over a thousand years of changes.
Meanwhile, Hogwarts' secrets were detected one by one by the system. Hidden mysteries buried in history were extracted as characteristics by the system, dissipating into the river of time.
Immersed in dreams with no sense of time's passage, they reached 1942.
Aiden felt his old adversary suddenly weaken, as if someone outside was draining its power.
Chaos's sudden weakness gave Aiden a great opportunity, and he intensified his ability output.
After several more decades of slumber, Aiden finally completed the dream's lock, creating a vast dream to imprison Chaos within.
Using Sequence 3's ability, he separated out the identity of the hero fighting the Deep Realm King, leaving it in the collective unconscious sea to guard Chaos.
Aiden opened his eyes again and activated his ability to escape from the collective unconscious sea.
The transformation from spiritual to material form brought uncomfortable sensations.
A falling sensation came as Aiden felt himself plummeting from the sky, finally crashing hard into something.
"Aiden?" An aged but familiar voice sounded with obvious surprise.
Aiden looked back to see Dumbledore with recognition.
"Bad dream, Professor." Aiden said, showing a tired smile.
