Chapter 261: Dual Descent, Reinforcements, and Melee
In the sky, black ooze began flowing down from the massive hole with ominous purpose.
The blood and flesh of Muggles were gathered, finally forming two monsters on the ground.
One was a black giant serpent with purple flames burning around its body with destructive intensity.
The other had a ferocious face, sharp horns, bat-like wings, and blood-red stripes on its body.
Its skin was black, it wielded a giant sword, and it emanated an aura of evil and terror.
At the same time, there seemed to be a row of neat bite marks on Chaos's chest, which looked somewhat familiar to Aiden.
Two Deep Realm Kings materialised on the battlefield, and all wizards pointed their wands at them with obvious determination.
They began wreaking havoc. Hell released Fiendfyre, easily burning wizard after wizard to ash.
(TL NOTE: Hell is the name of one of the Deep Realm Kings.)
Chaos, merely by existing, could naturally distort magical power, preventing wizards from casting spells.
It could also restore things to their most primitive state. Ordinary wizards would be decomposed just by approaching.
"We'll have to fight desperately," Aiden said to the other four. "I'll take on Chaos. You try to hold off Hell."
"Alright," came four voices in determined unison.
Aiden charged forward, lunging and transforming into a magnificent silver dragon.
Chaos was drawn to him, reaching out to grasp this beautiful silver-white form.
Aiden breathed dragon breath, freezing Chaos's entire arm, but dark-red magical power flashed on Chaos's body, instantly dispersing the ice.
Using this gap, the scales on Aiden's body began turning white, mysterious symbols appearing.
"Roar!" The Mind Dragon's roar echoed as strange thoughts surged in the surrounding wizards' hearts.
With a spatial flicker, a wizard in platinum robes led a group of wizards in black-gold robes onto the field.
The President saw this scene, sighed, and decisively sent requests for aid to other nations.
More and more wizards arrived, organising attacks against the two Deep Realm Kings.
Chaos raised its giant sword and struck hard at Aiden. Aiden spread his wings and immediately flew up.
Airborne, Aiden turned back and breathed mental breath at Chaos with precise aim.
The breath collided with Chaos's body, knocking out a large layer of black particles.
Nearby wizards tried to Apparate close to Chaos but were covered by these black particles and immediately underwent horrific aberration.
"Don't get close to them!" the President immediately warned with urgency.
The wizards could only cast spells from a distance, but unfortunately, the spells would be restored to magical power and dissipate before touching Chaos.
"Roar." Chaos ignored the other wizards completely.
Instead, it locked its gaze on Aiden, and its giant sword began emanating black radiance.
It swung at Aiden, and a massive beam roared toward him.
Aiden saw the incoming beam, made a sharp turn in the sky, and circled around the beam with aerial grace.
Then he rapidly approached Chaos. Chaos immediately released its power, dispersing the surrounding space-time.
But a clock face appeared in Aiden's eyes, the second hand moved, and combined with the Bone Church's power, space-time stabilised.
Chaos obviously hadn't expected Aiden to resolve its methods and was caught off guard by Aiden's freezing mental breath.
Another large cloud of black particles flew from Chaos's arm, and Aiden took the opportunity to whip his tail.
The dragon's tail struck Chaos's arm with a crisp crack. The arm was shattered.
"Good!" The wizards present clenched their fists with obvious hope.
But from the hole in the sky, black gel flowed out, rapidly repairing Chaos's body.
"A war of attrition," Aiden thought with growing concern.
On the other side, the President led people to capture the goblin king, decisively cutting off its head, but the ritual was complete, the passage open. Killing the goblin king was futile.
"Damn, let's deal with Hell first. Leave Chaos to that guy."
The President saw the heterochromatic pupils in the dragon's eyes and knew he was friend, not foe.
A mass of wizards surged toward Hell, using Patronuses to resist the flames, fighting Hell to a standstill.
On the main battlefield, the dragon used the high-speed mobility from flight to attack Chaos from all directions.
Chaos swung upward, Aiden dodged sideways, and bit down on Chaos again with fierce determination.
"This won't work. How do we deal with this guy!" Aiden muttered mentally.
Strike the core! the system reminded.
"!" Aiden also realised with sudden understanding.
He cancelled his mythical creature form. A dragonoid flew in the sky with renewed purpose.
Aiden raised his right hand, and from within the barrier, a completely silver-white staff flew into his grasp.
Gripping the staff with both hands, Aiden smiled at Chaos with dangerous intent.
"Let you taste love from a thousand years in the future!"
Centred on Aiden, purple lightning erupted violently, filling the entire sky.
In the sky, massive storm clouds accumulated, shrouding the entire battlefield.
"Lightning of Destruction!"
Lightning gathered, and the centre of the clouds caved inward, creating a void. Purple lightning shot from the centre of the void, enveloping Chaos completely.
Purple lightning continuously burnt Chaos, and the spell carrying mental power prevented Chaos from completely dispersing it.
With a thunderous bang, Chaos exploded, and the surrounding wizards were also drawn to this scene.
"Did we win?" someone asked hopefully.
Then they saw Aiden streak past them at extreme speed.
The other wizards shuddered, seeming to realise something. Comrades, doesn't this boss look like it's entering its second phase?
As an experienced player, what do you do when someone jumps in your face while you're smurfing?
Obviously, Chaos demonstrated the answer for everyone.
The hole in the sky grew larger. A giant hand forcibly tore open the hole, stretched down covered in wounds, grabbed the entire patch of land, and pulled it into the Deep Realm.
The wizards felt space warp. After compression, they finally arrived at a place filled with ruins.
This was flatland composed of ruins. Looking around, one could see broken pyramids, collapsed Great Walls, half-severed Hanging Gardens...
Nearly all the world's famous landmarks' remains were piled here, forming a bizarre metropolis.
"Deep Realm Layer Six, the City of No Return," the President murmured with obvious recognition.
"Troublesome. We've been pulled into their home turf," Aiden said, rubbing his forehead and walking over.
"Where's Hell?" Aiden asked.
"Already captured."
Behind the President, a black giant serpent was bound in golden chains emanating stellar aura.
It struggled constantly but to no avail.
"What about this one?" Godric asked, also coming over.
"No good. Too difficult. It's fighting on home turf now. Does your Mental Alchemy Association have any targeted weapons?" Aiden asked, glancing at the President.
The President gave him a meaningful look. "Not yet."
"So we're stuck here?" Lady Rowena asked, also coming over.
"Don't scare people, Rowena. Would you abandon your students?" Salazar asked, also stepping forward.
"Of course not," Lady Helga said, coming over with her golden cup.
"Then let's have a proper meeting with it," Aiden said, gripping his staff tightly.
The wizards behind also stood together, raising their wands toward the Deep Realm King with unified determination.
