Chapter 258 - Chapter 258: Hell's Scroll

Chapter 258: Hell's Scroll

The goblin king saw Aiden holding the Avalon control core he had been obsessing over, sitting leisurely on his throne.

"You..." The goblin king's eyes widened in fury, but before he could finish speaking, Aiden interrupted him.

"Speaking of which, do you goblins get vaccinated or undergo psychological treatment and such?"

The dragon on the throne smiled, bright as sunlight yet eerily unsettling.

A snap of his fingers. Disaster began.

The collective unconscious sea hummed with the whispers of countless souls, bone-chilling and ethereal.

The mental plague that had spread for three days now covered nearly the entire Goblin Hill.

The plague swept like an invisible storm, silently eroding every goblin's mind.

Inside the hill, all goblins felt tearing pain in their minds.

Then, countless mad thoughts began surging from the depths of their hearts.

The goblins' eyes instantly filled with blood, and crazed expressions appeared in their eyes.

They became beasts that had lost their reason, driven by inner madness.

Finally, the first goblin couldn't resist pouncing on his kinsman.

He frantically bit and tore at his fellow goblin. This manifestation of madness in reality intensified the chaos within their minds.

More goblins began attacking their surrounding kinsmen. Some used weapons; others simply used claws and fangs.

But what they didn't notice was that when they tore apart their companions' bodies, a layer of tiny filaments appeared on the sweat, saliva, and blood that fell to the ground.

Countless microscopic bacteria floated in the air, spreading in all directions through the air currents stirred up by the surging goblin crowds.

Howling and crying were tonight's theme at Goblin Hill.

The goblin king stared furiously at Aiden. "What have you done!" His voice came through gritted teeth.

"What? I'm just copying what you goblin brothers planned to do to others~" Aiden said with innocent sweetness.

Though the boy before him had an exquisite face, the smile it carried made the goblin king's hair stand on end.

The surrounding gold surged forward, protecting the goblin king like city walls.

"Who exactly are you!" The goblin king's eyes were filled with anger and determination.

"Aiden Prewett!" The dragon said, narrowing his crescent-shaped eyes with pleasure.

"You monsters, I'll remember today's humiliation!" The goblin king charged toward Aiden.

Countless gold surged toward Aiden, their tips forming sharp spears, ready to give Aiden a piercing cold reception.

Unfortunately, Aiden snapped his fingers and dissolved into butterflies, and all the golden spikes missed their target.

The butterflies gathered behind the goblin king, and Aiden emerged from them, his staff crackling with purple lightning.

"Lightning of Destruction!"

The lightning that had twice shattered the Deep Realm King's body pierced through the goblin king's heart.

The surrounding gold immediately stopped its attack, and the entire golden world began to melt.

Aiden walked over, preparing to loot the corpse, but the body before him also melted away.

Aiden stared in confusion. "..."

"A cunning rabbit has three burrows?" Aiden said, stroking his chin thoughtfully.

Most of the goblins had lost their reason and gone mad, but a small number of elites remained.

Thanks to their magical power and mental barrier defences, they were spared from the madness.

Aiden walked out from the throne room, and they also spotted Aiden, immediately identifying tonight's instigator.

"You monster!" A goblin launched an attack at Aiden.

The goblins used special magic to attack Aiden, sealing the space around him.

At the same time, intense crushing pressure emanated, as if trying to grind Aiden into dust.

"Your mental conditions are really quite good. What about your physical conditions?" Aiden said, his mouth curving into a smile.

"Snap." Aiden snapped his fingers.

"Ugh~" The two goblins standing at the front immediately vomited black blood.

The blood splattered on the ground and immediately grew a layer of filaments.

Combining the Qualitative Transformation Spell and Growing Charm, Aiden achieved the utilisation and transformation of microorganisms and bacteria.

Now, a batch of seemingly good victims... enemies could serve as Aiden's practice targets.

The other goblins' stomachs also suddenly swelled, and black things seemed to be surging through their blood vessels.

"No, I don't want to, ugh..."

An elegantly dressed goblin knelt on the ground about to beg for mercy, then exploded. Literally exploded.

His burst flesh and blood flew everywhere, and wherever it stuck, large patches of bacterial colonies immediately began growing.

"This... what is this? Oh gods." Some goblins were already kneeling and praying desperately.

Madness adorned the festival, with the growth of black bacterial colonies as the dance.

The goblins' prayers served as the song, and thus a hellish scroll was completed.

Gradually, the disturbance at Goblin Hill subsided because... there were no more new victims... enemies.

The dragon walked with light steps toward the prison.

Along the way, the black bacterial colonies cleared a path for him, as if bowing to their deity.

In the prison, the three living ancestors were doing nothing.

"Elvis, you think the master has been out so long, nothing happened to him, right?" Sean asked with obvious worry.

"Can't you think positive for once!" Iris snapped, turning to scold him.

"From the goblins' strength, they shouldn't be able to deal with the master, but I'm curious how they've been able to oppose wizards for so long."

Elvis voiced his analysis, his eyes full of confusion.

"Because these goblins have been lucky enough," Aiden said, walking in from outside the prison.

"Master!" came three voices in joyful unison. The three looked joyfully at the newcomer.

"Yo, are you all alright?" Aiden asked, walking up and tapping the bars with his wand.

The bars and ropes binding the three turned to clear water and flowed to the ground. The three walked out of the cell.

"Master, what happened outside?" The careful Iris asked, coming up to enquire.

"Hmm, I got a little carried away, just a little bit," Aiden said, looking troubled and pinching his thumb and forefinger together.

"The sounds outside don't seem like 'a little bit,'" Sean said, walking straight out of the prison.

Soon he ran back and began vomiting violently at the swamp below the prison.

Two suspicious gazes looked toward Aiden.

"Hehe," Aiden said, sticking out his tongue.

Returning the wands to the three, Aiden led them outside.

"This is too terrifying," Iris said, covering her mouth.

The entire Goblin Hill had become a land of death.

Walls, floors, furniture... everything visible was occupied by crimson and remains.

Large patches of bacterial colonies were growing on the ground and walls.

"What is this?" Elvis asked, wanting to reach out and touch it, but was stopped by Aiden.

"This is part of a spell. Contact can easily cause infection. Though I have counter-curses, you probably don't want to experience the torment this thing brings."

Aiden's tone was very calm, yet it made all three shiver.

They left this literal no-man's land as if it were uninhabited territory.

Aiden led the three ancestors back toward Hogwarts.

However, the storm they had caused was far from over.
