"This is the Archery Club," announced a girl with neck-length blonde hair and striking red eyes.
"I know," Asher responded dryly.
"You want to join the Archery Club?" she repeated, tilting her head slightly. Her blue diamond earring caught the light as it swayed.
"What I just said," he confirmed, still studying the sign that read "Archery Club" in bold letters.
She gazed at him for a long moment, then sighed. "Why don't you join the Alchemy Club instead?"
Asher finally turned his attention away from the door. "Wait... sorry for asking, but what was your name again?" His eyebrow arched with mild curiosity.
"Sasha," she said, extending her hand for a handshake.
Asher stared at the offered hand and promptly ignored it. "So... what exactly is your problem with me becoming a member of the Archery Club, Sasha?"
She sighed again. "Can I be honest with you?"
"No," he replied without hesitation.
