Wang Chung's footsteps echoed across the silent Temple of Echoes, deep in the eastern wilds. There, amid moonlit gardens and silvered lotus ponds, stood a lone figure in white robes.
Yu Meilan.
Her eyes shimmered like the stars—unchanged from the day she smiled before betraying him.
"You've returned," she said softly.
"I remember now," Wang Chung replied, voice edged with steel. "You were the blade. The hand. The lie."
She didn't deny it. "They told me you'd become a monster. That sealing you was the only way to save the realms."
"You made your choice," he said. "Now face what you created."
A duel began—but it was unlike any other. Their movements were almost mournful, the air charged with sorrow, power, and memory. Yu Meilan's lotus sword met Wang Chung's Void Palm again and again, neither giving way.
But as their blades locked, a flicker of pain crossed her face.
"You were never the monster," she whispered. "They lied to us all."
Wang Chung's fury faltered for a breath. But it was enough.
She stepped back. "Go to the Celestial Summit. That's where it all began. That's where the truth still sleeps."
Then she vanished into mist.
