Dxun, Onderon
Japrael System
Under the dense, dark canopy of Dxun, two figures face off in silence. The human, wearing a blindfold, listens carefully every rustle and snap speaks to him.
Broken branches, splintered wood, and bloodstained earth mark the fury of the fight. Across, a massive beast whose roar shakes the very ground lunges towards him
Gus, his eyes covered by a black blindfold. Even without sight, every sound tells him where danger lurks. His training taught him to listen with his heart and act patiently.
While the enormous creature roars and charges. Using his observation haki, Gus senses the direction of its next strike. As a fierce claw swings at him, he uses soru to dart away for a split second.
In that brief moment, Gus strikes. His blade slices cleanly across the creature's flank, aided by a soft glow from his low-level armament haki. The beast staggers, howling as blood mixes with the damp air of the jungle. Calm and precise, Gus meets the fight head on.
Finally, Gus ends the creature with a clean cut through its neck, delivering the finishing blow.
After the fight, Gus moved to the underbelly of the fallen beast. He tore at its thick hide and let the dark blood flow free. Once the blood was drained, he built a small fire to burn away the ruined remains.
Then, cutting a boulder from the ground climbed upon it. With a purple outline around them, both the rock and the beast's carcass lifted into the air, drifting slowly toward a cave atop a hill.
When they reached the cave, Gus carefully laid the malraas down. Amid the quiet, a droid's cool voice broke the silence. "Back early, master. The beasts of Dxun are now like playthings contrary to what the rest of the galaxy think of them," said Nesse.
Gus replied, "You forget it took me five years to reach this point, plus this one is dangerous against force sensitive not me" as they began to skin the beast together, their hands moving with steady skill.
"I have prepared a bath," Nesse announced. "Go clean up; dinner will be ready soon." Gus nodded and walked toward a small pond hidden inside the cave. He dived into the cool water, letting it relax his tired muscles as he washed away the grime of battle.
While he cleaned, he glanced at a simple mirror made of polished stone. In the reflection, he no longer saw the innocent, chubby cheeked child he once was. Instead, he saw a battle hardened teenager standing five feet tall. Scars and marks told the story of his long, hard journey.
Its been 7 years since i have left mandalore. Five years of fighting, bleeding, and surviving on Dxun. I've faced every kind of beast this jungle has thrown at me clawed, fanged, armored, flying. Some tried to tear me apart.
Others tried to outsmart me. But I'm still here. I've learned how to read the wind, listen to the ground, and move before anything even makes a sound.
But the beasts aren't the worst part. The real danger? The Sith temples.
They're buried deep in the jungle, half-swallowed by vines and time. Cold inside, like the walls remember death. I started exploring them a few years ago.
Not because I had to because I wanted to. I needed to know what the Sith left behind. What kind of power they hid here. I don't know if it was curiosity or something darker pulling me in.
One time, I walked into a chamber and felt the air shift. Too quiet. I stepped forward, and the floor gave out. Just like that. I fell hard onto a narrow stone bridge.
Before I could breathe, the walls lit up and darts flew out fast, sharp, poisoned. I dodged most, but one caught my side. It burned through me like fire. I barely made it out. Crawled for two days, every step harder than the last. Nesse found me just in time.
After that, I never moved through a temple without checking every step. Pressure plates, tripwires, false floors I've seen them all. Some traps were ancient tech, some pure dark side trickery. Either way, they were meant to kill.
But Dxun has taught me more than pain. It's taught me patience. Focus. Discipline. Every scar I carry has a story. Every fight made me sharper. System...

Sometimes, even I can't believe how much I've grown. And yet, I still haven't awakened the fruit. But even without it, I feel strong.
Strong enough that, on my best day, maybe I could take on someone like Palpatine. In 1v1, of course. The Force, the armies, the reach he has there's no beating that head on. Not yet.
Living in isolation here has been the best cover I could ask for. No one looks for ghosts on Dxun. I've trained without interruption, grown sharper, faster, more dangerous.
But it's also lonely. I have no allies, no real friends. Just Nesse and, sometimes, contact with my family. That's all.
Once in a while, traders from Onderon stop by the tiny settlements scattered across this moon. They bring news, Last time, they spoke of a blockade over Naboo by the Trade Federation, and a new Chancellor being elected. So far, nothing has shifted off course. The timeline is still intact. That's a relief.
I want to keep it that way. Because if the future changes too much I don't know what I'll have to face. The system is still in cooldown, there is still another year before i can actually start initiating my plans.
The main goals I have chosen are how to overthrow Satine and whether I should ally with Palpatine or feign innocence.
While Gus was contemplating what to do about the future, his peace was cut short by Nesse coming over with a transponder beeping red. "Master, the eastern village has called for help."
"Huh... I've told them to leave this moon countless times, but their arrogance surpasses even mine. I hope it's not a stampede. Be on alert if I need extra help, come with the ship," said Gus, jumping from the cave entrance.
Rather than falling, he used Geppo to leap into the air, sometimes bouncing off the treetops and launching forward in faster bursts toward the village.
When reaching near, he saw a massive 100 foot long Boma rampaging near the village. Smoke, rubble, and panicked villagers filled the area, with some shooting at the beast, trying to distract it away from the homes. Gus increased his speed, rapidly covering his foot with Armament Haki.
He kicked the beast right below its neck, causing a sonic boom as the creature was thrown back several meters, shocking the villagers. Gus landed softly in front of them, now facing the recovering beast.
The Boma flipped over, wobbled its head, and started staring at him intently its eyes bulging red with cracks, and blood oozing from its lower front.
"Time to end this fast so I can get back to my routine and have a hearty dinner," Gus muttered, drawing his sword. As he concentrated, a purple outline began to form around the blade. He swung it toward the beast.
"Gravity Meteor."
Suddenly, purple rings started forming above his head, reaching up into space. For a few seconds, everyone looked around, confused. The Boma had recovered and was starting to charge at them but then it suddenly stopped, lifting its head to the sky. The villagers followed its gaze.
There it was a blazing red dot, growing larger by the second.
Most couldn't believe what they were seeing. The Boma, sensing the danger, turned and began to flee. But mysteriously, to everyone else, the meteor about the size of a school bus sped up even more and slammed into the beast. It died instantly as its head vaporized from the heat.
The impact sent tremors through the ground, a shockwave and dust cloud spreading across the area, knocking many of the nearby villagers to the ground.
Gus contacted Nessi using commllinks "Nessie bring all our med supplies and the food cooked, all the meat reserved". Nessi replied "But master..." Gus interjected "No buts, they need it more than me".
"Roger that ETA 30 mins Master" came a static voice of nessi from the comms
The locals after settleing themselves started enjoying and were shouting victories with smiles on their faces, even though most of their town has been destroyed, a hrakian came towards gus.
The elderly Hrakian woman pushed through the cheering villagers and stepped in front of Gus. "Child, I thought we were done for," she said. "When all hope was lost, I request your help on a whim, accepting our fate. But what I saw today surpasses every tale of my youth. If you agree, I will accept the offer you made to us years ago." This was Velka Dran, the town's chief.
"Not now, Ms. Velka, I sense some are trapped under debris. Let me help them, and once my droid arrives, send her to treat the injured." replied Gus. With that, he headed toward the east side of town.
Along the edges, while helping others, he noticed a small girl straining to lift rubble off a trapped blurrg. Clearly, she could not do it alone. Gus stepped forward and removed the debris; both the child and the creature turned to look at him.
Drawing near, he saw that the girl was a Torguta child barely reaching his ankles. The blurrg gave a happy growl and trotted off into the jungle. "Thank you, Mr. Jedi," she said. Gus smiled and ruffled her hair. "It's not safe here. Go back to the center, alright?"
As he continued his work, he found the little one still following him. Pausing, he turned and gently picked her up when she tried to hide and tripped. "You're a spirited one. Come with me I'll keep you out of trouble," he said while walking hand in hand. "I'm Gus. What's your name?" he asked.
"I'm Ahsoka Tano. I want to be the strongest Jedi ever, just like you," she replied, skipping ahead.
"I'm no Jedi, youngling. Where is your master?" asked Gus.
"He's resting, injured trying to save everyone " Ahsoka said sadly as they reached the chief's house, now a makeshift relief center. Nesse was tending to the severely injured while elders and children filled their bellies. At the entrance stood a Kel Dorri most likely Master Plo Koon with minor injuries and an arm brace. Gus sensed both caution and confusion from him.
"Nice to meet you, Master Plo Koon. This must be your initiate. Try to keep a better eye on her next time," Gus said with a playful smirk.
"From all of the Jedi Council, I thank you for saving this town and for saving both mine and Ahsoka's lives," bowed Plo Koon. "Ahsoka, didn't I tell you to stay here? Go inside now."
"Sorry, Master. I won't do it again, I promise," Ahsoka said, waving goodbye to Gus as she walked inside.
After Ahsoka left, Master Plo Koon turned to Gus. "May I have a word with you in private, young one?" he said, gesturing toward an empty street. Gus nodded and followed. Once they reached a quiet corner, Plo Koon asked, "May I know how you managed to pull off that feat?"
Before Plo Koon could finish, Gus interrupted. "What are you doing here, Jedi? And i cant use the Force, if that's what you're worried about."
Plo Koon sighed. "While returning from my mission, the Jedi Council ordered me to investigate disturbances in the Force here on Dxun. From what I have seen, it might be your hunting, probably you considered it training. Many of these creatures are Force attuned, and your actions may have caused a misunderstanding. Would you be willing to come before the Council? They might not believe that a child hunts maalraas for food."
Gus crossed his arms. "Why would that help me? I'm not breaking any laws. I could easily outpace you or even kill you and vanish. So, what's in it for me?"
"You are already my benefactor; I owe you for saving our lives," replied Plo Koon. "I propose a trade, if you appear before the Council, I will grant your request. And if you choose to kill us instead well, ill consider it as my day has come."
Gus smirked. "Then I want you to sign a contract, allowing me to take a Jedi holocron and arrange safe passage to an undisclosed planet. In exchange, I have critical information about the Sith and certain items I wish to trade."
Plo Koon hesitated. "I lack that authority..." Before he could finish, Gus turned on his heel and began walking away.
"Wait!" Plo Koon called after him. "Let me contact the Council. If they approve, I promise to do it. Just give me some time."
"Two hours," Gus replied curtly, and continued toward the relief camp.
Plo Koon's Report
Back at his starship, Plo Koon opened a channel with the Jedi Council. Moments later, the holographic forms of three Jedi Masters filled the communication display. Bowing respectfully, Plo Koon began, "Greetings, Masters. I have an intriguing matter to discuss."
Master Yoda's deep, wise voice responded, "Proceed, Master Koon."
Plo Koon continued, "The disturbance on Dxun appears caused by a child. The chieftain informed me that he arrived five years ago and sought to use a hangar for his starship in exchange for protection against local wildlife. Since then, not a single life has been lost. Just recently, that same child saved the village from a giant boma and procured a maalraas for food."
Jedi Master Windu interjected, "I sense astonishment and a measure of fear from you, Master Koon. Explain yourself."
Plo Koon replied, "I cannot sense the child through the Force as one might expect. It is not that he is a void or tear in the Force; it is as if the Force flows through him completely he is both one with it and apart from it." Both Windu and Ki Adi- undi frowned as Ki Adi Mundi remarked, "A Skywalker type problem, perhaps?"
"Bring him to the Council; examine him i must," commanded Grand Master Yoda.
"I have informed him," said Plo Koon. "He has requested a holocron and safe passage to an undisclosed planet, in exchange for items that are likely Sith relics. Dxun is, after all, a pilgrimage site for the Sith. He may have even discovered several temples."
"Impossible," retorted Mace Windu. "A Jedi holocron is dangerous if it falls into the wrong hands. What if he is a Sith apprentice cloaking himself? After Maul's incident, caution is paramount." replied Ki Adi Mundi
"If he were Sith, I would have perished long ago," Plo Koon pressed. "I sense grave danger to our Order in the future. If this trade will help, then I am willing to accept it and if anything goes wrong, I shall take full responsibility and exile myself."
"A person of such strength must not remain unchecked," murmured Yoda. "Tell the child that we accept the trade."
"Thank you, Master," Plo Koon replied, bowing as the channel went dark.
After leaving the ship and returning to the chieftain's house, Plo Koon found the Locals in high spirits, celebrating their newfound safety. Many were healed, singing songs and sharing hearty meals.
In the center of the bustling camp, children gasped and cheered as they watched Gustav enjoying a meal size several times his own. Plo Koon smiled to himself, marveling once again at the wondrous, unpredictable nature of the galaxy.
