My vision recovers after exiting the crack and starts to disappear Slowly, I look around to see that there is no one and then I start to move away quickly so as not to be seen.
"And the creature? The creature that killed helios and the others where had it gone?"
Rentoki's voice "We apologize for that Ban, you see Behemoth is .... Our pet Touma and I were in the altar sphere and when we received your touch we awoke which caused Behemoth to rejoin us."
I decide not to say anything, I analyze his words practically I am united and helping the beings that have killed my friend and the others.
"And you couldn't stop your damn pet?"
Touma's voice "By being asleep we mean unconscious asshole."
I keep walking I look everywhere, I find myself nervous after everything that has happened today it's Well fucked up having to watch people die and now to be with these creatures in my head.
After a while walking and catching a bus I arrive home, I open the door and quickly see a small figure running towards me.
"Ban! You made it" it was my little Alila this one hugging my leg, I smiled happy to be alive to see her and put my hand on her head.
"I'm home little sister, and dad hasn't arrived?".
I noticed her droopy expression when I threw my question she looked at the floor before saying anything.
"No.. you know daddy prioritizes his gambling game more than anything else."
I crouched down to her level and gently pinched her cheeks.
"Do you want something to eat?"
Her little eyes lit up and she nodded quickly so I took her by the hand and led her to the kitchen, together we cooked some sandwiches and chatted for a while I wanted to forget about everything I had experienced today.
Rentoki's voice "Wow~ what a cute pet you have Ban".

My little sister noticed my displeased expression and cocked her head to the side.

"Y-yeah...it's nothing I'm just thinking about some things."
After I finished eating I set about washing the dishes.

No wonder they don't know what money is since they're not human and I've never heard of any monsters using money to buy trinkets or anything like that.
"Yes, it's a very important thing for humans" after downloading the app I register as a newbie and grade E adventurer I was quickly accepted and received non-stop notifications about cracks constantly opening and news about other adventurers.
"Well apparently there are many E grade crevasses available the closest one is at Orchent bridge".
Voice touma "Well move your legs there's no time to waste, I hate this shit I don't remember who I am".
I started to walk and get on some bus this would be something I never had in mind to participate in something like being an adventurer due to my lack of skill, but now everything is different maybe I can get some benefit out of this and if that means being able to earn money to help at home then I will be more than happy even putting my life at risk.
Arriving at the area I walk around but soon find the place, there are adventurers surrounding the crack and me approaching them.
"Hmm hello, I'm a new adventurer and I want to participate in this rift, is there still room for one more?". I ask dryly I have no experience in this so I don't know if I'm supposed to just come and go.
"Oh you're new, well welcome..... Well normally when you go to participate in a crack on the adventurers page they let you know if there is room or not, but you'll have to ask the group leader there."
I watch as he points me to a blond man rune mage worse with a dagger in his belt just seeing the look of arrogance on his face doesn't make me even the slightest bit funny to say anything.
Rentoki voice "Is something wrong Ban, why don't you go over and ask him?"
I sighed before walking over and getting his attention.
"Hey, are you the leader of the group of adventurers? I wanted to know if I could join your team" I quickly noticed how he was analyzing me up and down I don't feel comfortable at all with that look on me.
"Leader, that's a good idea, we need people! This adventurer could be good for us" was what one of his teammates said But the guy just laughed.
"What, we don't need more people please retire home you're not even wearing armor or anything".
I thought about getting offended But he was actually right I don't wear armor since I'm not used to this and coming something like this or weapons is like the uniform in this job, But I just snorted before turning around and retreating.
Voice Touma "What a shitty human, your mere arrogance is a mockery".
Voice Rentoki "Oh no, now what do we do Ban?"
Voice Touma "We can kill them all and getting in wouldn't be complicated."
I sigh and look at my phone, other possible cracks But they are all kind of far away, for a moment I thought my best option would be to rob a bank to test my skills But then I saw a new message a Rank E crack a few blocks away.
So I started running quickly.
Rentoki voice "B-ban? Why are you running something is wrong with that electrical box?".
"It's nothing, there's just a crack nearby and we better hurry."
Arriving at the place sweaty and breathing heavily I watch the cleaners doing their job, the job I used to do until today, they are standing guard and keeping the area safe so people don't pass through.
"Hey you can't be here boy it's dangerous" I hear his voice I know he is referring to me as my attire is not that of an adventurer as such.
"I am an adventurer, I come to enter the rift".
The 4 cleaners look at me with disbelief and even mockery.
"What, you're alone, where's the guild, your companions?".
I quickly get the point, normally those who go into crevices go in groups, But I don't have that luxury my only friend is dead and I'm not in a guild or anything like that.
"No... I don't have a group I go alone."
The men laughed at my words which irritated me.
Rentoki's voice "I don't think they get it Ban.... We'll have to be more severe."
"Yes, I think so too..." I approached the rift and deactivated the shield making the rift flicker and possible to go through.
"H-Hey kid! What are you doing stop messing around that's dangerous" shouted one of the 4 cleaners but I just looked at them seriously.
"Fuck off, I told you I'm an adventurer".
I started to approach the crevice at a calm pace but knowing the madness I'm about to do without equipment weapons and armor.
Touma's voice "Yes! You finally do something I can praise human".
I swallow saliva and before I think about what I'm doing I enter the rift, will it be the same as last time? It's something I don't know but I'll fight now that at least I have a system and a skill to prove....
