"Well, sir, a complication came up at the scene. It didn't quite go according to plan. He didn't consume the poison."
"I paid you a hefty sum of money to make sure he was erased permanently, and you can't even do your job?"
"Sir, we'll be there soon. It'll all be explained," the other caller said, ending the call.
"Foolish mercenaries. How do you mess up a job as easy as this?" He leaned against his chair, contemplating his next actions.
Light giggles came from outside. He looked out the window, observing Lee with his little girlfriend. How could he be facing financial decline and a possible arrest, and yet there was his heir, laughing and playing like everything was fine?
