The bathroom door slid open with a soft sound.
Noel stepped out, hair damp, sleeves rolled, skin still warm from the shower.
Luca was leaning against the balcony frame, phone gone, a small, unreadable smile lingering on his lips.
Noel slowed, eyes narrowing just a little. "Why are you smiling like that?"
Luca blinked. "Like what?"
"Like you know something I don't." Noel crossed the room, stopping in front of him. "What did you do?"
"Nothing." Luca's mouth twitched. "Promise."
Noel studied him, searching. Then he hummed, unconvinced, and turned toward the bedroom. "If this is a surprise, I swear—"
"It's not," Luca said quickly.
Noel paused, glanced back. "That was not convincing."
Luca laughed. "Go. Get dressed."
Noel pointed at him. "We'll revisit this."
He disappeared into the bedroom. A few minutes later, he stepped back out, buttoning his shirt, hair still damp and unruly.
