The Hoodie in the Lost and Found.
Cleopatra usually known as Cleo didn't usually bother with the lost and found. Most of the time, it was just a collection of missing lunch boxes, faded library books and the occasional lonely rule. But today was different.
She saw it instantly after the conversation with her mate: a red hoodie draped over the corner of the wooden shelf, messy and stained. Not just any hoodie, Tilly's hoodie.
Cleo's heart thudded painfully in her chest. That was the exact hoodie Tilly wore to the party the night she disappeared.
Shivering slightly, she pulled it carefully off the shelf. There were sparkles stuck in the fabric - purple and silver glitter from the dance floor, a student council pin and a dark, sticky smear near the cuff. Blood? Cleo swallowed really hard.
"Hey, Cleo, what's going on?" Mike's voice jolted her. He was leaning against the doorway, arms crossed,smirking like he knew a secret.
"Have a look," Cleo said quietly,holding up the hoodie. Mike's smirk faded. "That's Tilly's, isn't it?"
"Of course." Cleo's fingers clenched the fabric. "I don't think she just ran away. Not with this."
Mike startled, asked, "What do we do then?"
Cleo stared at the glitter and bloodstain, wondering if this was the hint that would finally solve the mystery, or pull them all deeper into trouble .
