Shurry took a deep breath, and then sighed. Hathor put her hands on his shoulders, a measure to keep him in place. Not that she was actually strong enough to do so, she was relying on the influence she has over him.
"You know good and well that we aren't going to get involved until it comes to protecting them from the fallout." Hathor said, with a gentle massage of Shurry's shoulders. "I know you want to go out there and deal with it personally. But this is something he must do."
"Agreed, it is up to Bell. Don't worry so much Shurry, he's strong enough to handle everything thrown at him. For that matter so is Meda, and Meteria." Zeus announced in concert with Hera, showing that they were on the exact same page…
"I know. I would have killed them myself a long time ago otherwise." Shurry snarled out a response. "Those bastards stroll into the city like they still own the place. And now Freya's insidious nature thought it best to sire a child of her own, obviously with help of her familia, but still. Now we can't kill Ottar." He added, making it clear what his feelings were. He struggled hard on Freya's name.
"For now you just need to watch Bell's abilities. Don't forget, he is a level 8 now too. Stronger than Maxim was." Zeus chuckled.
"I know. But I'll be ready to act, I can't very well let my brother's son die too." His tail flicked, he stood up, and Hathor let go of him. "He's family."
…
The Tsugunai's temporary residence was currently buzzing with chatter, and plans for their next dungeon run. They were on a time crunch, in other words a fire had been lit under their asses. Some ate and talked at the same time, just so they could squeeze out a little extra progress. A result of the constant surprise probes into the building, and attacks in the dungeon.
"Finn, I'm telling you, we have the strength, and means to do it right now. We shouldn't wait any longer." Allen shouted, pounding the table and grinding his teeth.
"No, not yet. There's no way we can do it now. Many of us are going to be injured in a moment, isn't that right Ottar?" Finn refused.
"Yes, he's on his way here, I can't blame him either." Ottar nodded in agreement.
The door to the main entry way flew open, and a faint streak of red and white burst into the room, taking out the lights, heading straight for the giant boarman at the back.
Ottar responded with a quick parrying draw of his greatsword, albeit barely managing to pull it off as his face grimaced from the powerful intensity behind the small blade.
"What?" Ottar said in a rather shocked surprise, and was echoed by the others around as well.
As if waiting for time to catch up, the blur finally became a real solid figure, it was Bell, Bell Cranel, the level 8 adventurer of Zeus familia. He was on a mission to claim the life of his father's murderer.
"Last time I said you'd pay… This time… YOU KILLED MY FATHER, PREPARE TO DIE!"
Bell pushed off of Ottar's blade and bounced back into action, a flurry of blade slashes were seen in the faint moonlight, and the sounds of metal clanging together with murderous intensity sounded out through the night.
"Help Ottar. This Bell can't deal with all of us." A rather stupid person said, though the fear made it difficult to tell you it was exactly, it did sound effeminate, but anyone afraid for their life would hit the octave.
Unable to resist, the other executives attempted to join in combat against Bell. Some did better than the others.
Allen thrusted with his spear.
Gareth heaved his axe.
Finn chain slashed his spears.
Riveria boosted everyone's defenses, and started casting small attack spells, acting in concert with Hedin.
Hogni danced with his sword slicing through the air with ease.
Gullivers attempted to join but were swatted aside, unable to see what actually hit them.
However, despite all the extra members of the fight, Bell was not slowing down in the slightest. He simply danced, and dodged into and out of attacks, landing his, while deflecting the others into other people. He was nothing more than a flash of white and red in the night.
"Hey, Mother-in-law Meteria, I don't think my fiance needed any help this time." Meda said with a soft voice, completely relaxed.
Meteria shoved her chest out, and wore a proud smile. "He's doing good, taking it easy on them. It does make a mother proud to see this."
Meda puffed out her own ample chest with a similar smile. "That's right, and our son will be just as good!" She declared, proudly flicking her hair around.
Finn fell out of the battle, panting, and gasping for air. He'd also heard the newcomers, and charged for them instead.
"Mother, I think… I think Brother-Uncle was right. This Finn guy doesn't have the brains to support the lofty title people once used for him."
"Why do you say that?" Meteria asked, clearly unbothered, and playing along.
"My sweet bunny, hubby! Finn's trying to hurt me!"
Bell's eyes flashed in the night, and just as he did, he narrowly dodged every attack, nimbly running at Finn… He leapt up, then landed right on Finn's head, slamming his chin into the floor. Bell lifted Finn's head up and just started shouting.
"HOW DARE YOU ATTACK MY WOMAN! EVIL… huh?"
"What's wrong Bunny hubby?"
"He's out cold… I guess I hit him a little bit too hard…" He shook his head, dropping Finn to the floor again. "No, he got what he deserved. Now, time to avenge my FATHER!" He roared into action once more.
The sounds of combat rose through the center of the building, reaching the top floor where the two goddesses were.
Loki ran out of her room, and leaned over the railing. "Hey what's with all of the racket!!?"
"It's a little late to be fighting, isn't it?" Freya said, empowering her voice. "You're going to wake my baby…" Her eyes fell upon Bell again. "If you come join me for the night Bell, I'll let this go." She added with a lick on her lips.
"Never. I want revenge!"
"I see then…"
Freya was cut off by some weird phenomenon occurring outside. It drew everyone's attention away from the conflict at hand.
