M seized the opportunity, leaning into the suspicion he had sown. He purposely gasped, the sound amplified by his mask. "Or is it that you want to kill us off because you are really the one that orchestrated everything about how Z died?"
M continued, his voice sharp with calculated insinuation. "Now that I'm thinking of it, it's definitely strange how Z had died. Jules, don't you think so too? That mission was definitely a simple mission for someone of Z's caliber—how would those people even manage to kill Z off on their own?"
M looked back at K, allowing the silence to build before delivering the final blow. "So K, am I right? Did you really kill your best friend out of jealousy? Wow, that's dark, and this is coming from me. K, you have really outdone yourself."
K looked at Jules, only to realize that Jules was already looking at him suspiciously. K couldn't help but feel a massive wave of panic. Even his hands, which he was trying to hide under the table, were already shivering.
