Instead of answering Jayvaughn's question, Josh fired one back. "Why are you the one opening the door?"
"Because I live here," Jayvaughn replied flatly.
Josh gave a slow nod, his expression far from friendly. "So you're the boyfriend, I surely hope and wish that it's not you,but it looks like wishes can only be wishes ."
Jayvaughn wasn't in the mood for games. If Josh wasn't going to answer why he was here, there was no point in continuing the conversation. He started to close the door.
Josh, realizing what he was doing, quickly moved and planted his hand against it to stop it from shutting.
"What do you think you're doing? Let go of the door," Jayvaughn said sharply.
Josh refused, his jaw tightening. "You're the one crossing the line here. How can you just shut the door on me?"
Jayvaughn stared at him in disbelief. "This is my home, and I don't want to accommodate you. So let go, so I can close the door."
