Chapter 27 - "Stabilized."

Huff... Huff...

He was breathing hard—not from exhaustion, but from rage.Looking down at the corpses on the ground, the green on Hayata Hayato's body slowly faded away. His towering figure of over two meters shrank back down to just a little over one meter tall.

"I really thought I could handle it without turning into the Hulk... guess I overestimated myself again." Hayato shook his head and gave a bitter smile.Around him, people were trembling, desperately trying to hide their bodies, not even daring to glance at him.

Hayato let out a long sigh.

He'd never wanted to make himself stand out this much, but deep down, he knew something like this would happen sooner or later. Whether it was today or some other day didn't really matter.

Glancing down at the last strip of cloth still clinging to his body, Hayato sighed again. Looked like he'd better start wearing looser clothes—maybe even something so baggy that people might mistake it for a dress, like that one comedian Xiaoshenyang wore. Still better than ending up like this after a fight.

He rushed back to his room and put on his last clean set of clothes, finally letting out a breath of relief. But when he saw the broken wooden door, he shook his head again.

He'd been planning to leave a few of those guys alive so they could fix the door for him—but once he turned into the Hulk, he didn't hold back at all. Now, it was up to him to deal with it.

Before starting repairs though, Hayato turned his attention to the corpses he'd left behind.Aside from the ones he'd smashed into literal meat paste, he searched the bodies and collected anything of value. Compared to normal folks, these guys actually carried quite a bit—especially cash.

From the shadows, the survivors watched him loot the bodies. Some had looks of envy in their eyes, but more than that, it was fear.

Once Hayato walked away, one person cautiously crept out of hiding and rushed over to a corpse. With practiced movements, they began stripping clothes off the dead body. That was all it took.

The rest of the people nearby surged out and started looting the corpses like mad, trying to grab whatever was left. Some even went so far as to drag entire bodies away.

This... this was how people survived here.Hayato silently took it all in, said nothing, and just started repairing his broken door.

Meanwhile, his reputation started spreading. After all, he'd just wiped out the Black Tiger Gang—the gang that controlled several streets. And to make things even more intense, rumors were flying that Hayato was actually a green demon from hell. The kind of story that really struck fear into people's hearts.

Some of the locals, after catching a glimpse of his Hulk form, packed up and left the neighborhood altogether. But others—those who liked not having to pay protection fees or just had nowhere else to go—moved in.

Hayato saw it all, but kept quiet. He and these people were from two completely different worlds. Let them do whatever they want.

From that point on, Hayato focused all his energy on survival.Outside of the basics—eating, drinking, sleeping, and using the bathroom—every minute was spent training.

Since his body had changed, he was finally able to draw out chakra. With chakra at his command, Hayato began practicing the ninjutsu he'd learned back in ninja school.

Of course, that only included the most basic stuff—Transformation Jutsu, Clone Jutsu, and Substitution Jutsu. Anything more advanced wasn't something you could learn in school anyway.

So he lived quietly.Trained quietly.Got stronger quietly.

That became Hayato's new daily life.
