Chapter 5 - CHAPTER 5:Beast Hell

The moment Qin Chuan finished speaking, he kicked the nearest cell door.

Boom!

The steel gate crumpled and flew open under his foot. The prisoners inside surged out like a tide.

They immediately swarmed the fallen jailers, snatching the key rings from their bodies.

In just a few minutes, every prison door on the entire first floor swung open.

Meanwhile, the guards in the surveillance room, watching this unfold in horror, bolted toward the warden's office on the fourth floor to report the riot.

As the prisoners gathered around Qin Chuan, they understood one thing clearly—none of them could escape Impel Down alone. The man before them was their only shot at freedom.

"Brothers!" Qin Chuan called from the martial arts platform. "If we don't take down the gunners guarding the lower floors, we'll die here for sure. Are you willing to fight with me?"

"Willing!"

"Kill them!"

The response was deafening.

Oppressed for too long under the suffocating grip of Impel Down, they now burned with rage and purpose. It was better to die fighting than rot in chains.

With Qin Chuan at the lead, they stormed toward Level Two—Beast Hell.

This level was crawling with monstrous creatures bred for suppression: cockatrices, lion-faced horrors, and venomous scorpions. The most fearsome among them was the Sphinx, a towering jailer beast with the body of a lion and a grotesque, terrifying face.

When Qin Chuan and the masses reached Beast Hell, the Sphinx lay lazily on the stone floor, still asleep.

"Crush those jailer beasts!" someone roared as soon as they entered. The prisoners, now armed with weapons seized from the Red Lotus Hell, opened fire on the monstrosities before them.

Gunfire erupted, and the first wave of beasts fell under the onslaught.

Roaring with excitement, the prisoners surged forward.

The chaos awakened the Sphinx.

Enraged by the noise and the rebellion, it leapt up, let out a bone-rattling roar, and charged into the crowd.

In seconds, several prisoners were torn apart by its fangs. When others opened fire, the bullets bounced off its hide. The Sphinx's defense was terrifying—it was no wonder it commanded this level of Impel Down.

The tide turned. The remaining jailer beasts rallied behind the Sphinx and counterattacked.

Seeing the growing casualties, Qin Chuan wasted no time. He leapt above the crowd, sprinting across the heads of prisoners toward the Sphinx.

As he neared the beast, he whispered: "The First Gate—Gate of Opening!"

The first of the Eight Gates opened. The brain's limiters lifted, flooding his body with raw energy. Power and speed surged through his limbs.

With the Gate open, he activated the signature technique.

"Front Lotus!"

The Sphinx spotted Qin Chuan midair and lunged, jaws open wide to swallow him whole.

"You want to eat me? Try this—Front Lotus!"

Qin Chuan's foot snapped upward, landing squarely on the Sphinx's jaw. The beast reeled as its massive body lifted off the ground.

In a flash, Qin Chuan teleported skyward, locked his arms around the beast, and spiraled downward with explosive speed.

Boom!

The Sphinx's skull slammed into the stone floor, carving out a crater. It collapsed, unconscious from the crushing impact.

"Ding! Congratulations, host. You have defeated the enemy. Reputation gained: 3,000."

Compared to Saludes, the Sphinx wasn't nearly as difficult, so the reward was smaller.

Still, its fall sent shockwaves through the battlefield. The remaining jailer beasts froze in fear—some even turned to flee toward Level Three, Hunger Hell.

But their path was blocked.

Several massive figures charged up from the third floor. From among them emerged a woman—blonde curls, bangs shadowing her eyes, white candle-shaped earrings, and a skin-tight pink leather jacket. She carried a long trident and radiated authority.

She was Little Sadi, commander of the fourth level's jailer beasts and the warden of the entire prison.

Without blinking, she pointed her trident at the retreating beasts.

"One more step back, and I'll kill you myself."

Her voice was icy. The four elite jailer beasts at her side stepped forward, reinforcing her threat.

Terrified, the lesser beasts stopped in their tracks. Qin Chuan was dangerous—but Little Sadi was worse. They'd rather risk death in battle than face her twisted punishments.

So the beasts turned again, this time charging toward the prisoner army.

But the tide had turned.

The prisoners, now unified and enraged, crashed into them with overwhelming momentum. Within moments, the jailer beasts were crushed, falling one after another under the stampede.

Now, the two forces—Qin Chuan's rebellion and Little Sadi's elite guards—stood face to face in the middle of Beast Hell.

The prisoners hesitated. Unlike the Sphinx, Little Sadi's presence radiated cruelty and command. Even emboldened by victory, her aura made them pause.
