I lay down in my bed, as I reminisce the chemistry between us while taking her home, the way she smiles, her intelligent conversation and above all she is a beautiful damsel, I kept rolling on the bed, then I picked up my phone to text her, as though she was waiting for my text, immediately it tick read and she started typing we started another conversations again, we were on call till midnight, had to remind her to go to sleep as she would be going to work the next day, she said tomorrow is her off day as she works two days in the office and three days remotely, lucky you many of us don't have the luxury of that and that why we're trying our best to be a CEO one day so we can create time for those we love and enjoy the beauty of life. I asked for her picture, she spammed me with lots of pictures and I kept admiring them.
The call ended around 1AM as she fell asleep while on call, I smile to myself at interval but there's this fear in me what if she's no different from the other girls I've been meeting. Everyone appears good till she show there real intention, something in me said "why don't you give it a trial" I just hissed, the one that messed me wasn't that enough trial to make one to be tired of the relationship palava well tomorrow would be the judge of that, if I'd something serious with her or not let me wait till we see.
I woke up late that morning, I couldn't hold my phone till around 10AM because I was enjoying my sleep, I'd wake up at interval but would sleep back, it was the aroma of the food my sis was preparing entering my room make me stand up, I picked up my phone to see 20 text from Lydia, I was shocked cuz i've forgotten I met someone last night again God punish this my single life, from Good morning dear to sleeping beauty to don't you know a man must be up early with a laughing emoji I don't know which one to reply to but tried my best to replied some so she could feel important and not that I was neglecting her, I find my way to the kitchen, I kept blushing while typing at interval my sis would cough, she'd then look at me I understand those gesture, she said it seem Lydia is working her magic on up already, I just laugh and left the kitchen for her so I could concentrate on her.
The rest of the day was filled with anticipation on my side, I couldn't just wait to see her at the date, I kept looking at the time, I tried playing games but that doesn't solve anything it seems as though that day the time intentionally chose to be slow. I drove to the location, fortunately I met her there, the moment I parked my car I saw her coming from the Uber car that brought her, went to meet her, to be honest she was gorgeous I made my mind that neither of us would go back home single.
I walk towards her, gave a slight hug and held her hand as we made our entrance to get a sit, I walk like a king holding her queen hand plus she was comfortable with it,I looked around till I saw am empty space at a corner, I said perfect as I led her to the sit, draw the sit so she could sit down and I sat down as well. I looked at her and smile, she asked what funny, yesterday when I met you I don't know you're this beautiful but after a while my mind changed I thought my sister was disturbing me trying to introduce us but now I understand better, abeg let place order first then we continue, we placed our order the Walter said it'd be ready in 10 min, we were drinking when I cleared my throat, I don't know if the feeling is mutual but after dropping you off last night, I just couldn't stop thinking about you if you asked me what I did today, all I did was to think about you, holding her hands, Lydia I can't keep my intentions anymore, I wish to hide it but I'd be deceiving myself to think I could, if you don't mind I want to be your man, I promise never to hurt you but to love, care and cherish you, be with you, stand by you all day along I want to be the man that makes you happy, I want to be that man that makes your words beautiful and I want you to be my woman that I ever seek after is her happiness and making sure her smile never fades away. she smile and sigh thanks heavens, she said she has always loved me the day my sis posted me that was when she had feelings for me as well, so I think we can give us a chance. I shouted not minding those around me, I hugged her as a smile, this is the end of my bachelor life it time to get married.
