There he goes again, bringing up marriage. I still couldn't understand why he was so obsessed with making me his wife when he had already marked me.
But since it didn't affect me in any way, I decided to just let it slide.
"When I first met you, you were also at the lake," Rael said softly as he stood behind me, gently washing my back. "Was that during the full-moon ceremony?"
I leaned my back against his chest, letting him know I felt comfortable with him. "Mhm," I murmured. "The elders of Valedorn didn't believe I was the true Luna. They thought I was a fraud."
I ran my fingers through the water, watching it drip from my hand as I lifted it. To my surprise, Rael suddenly caught my hand and guided it slowly toward the glowing moon above us.
"They're just fools," he said firmly. "Others might think you're a fraud, but your Alphas know the truth."
