A canvas-like feature for a roof felt a bit odd to the boy. Yet, he shrugged it off.
Skipping ahead, he crossed another archway. Looking in his left, he saw the man drawing a being by simply tracing his fingers in the air. While the little girl on the right wall, she grabbed pieces of the sky, cloud, dirt, and the recently grown tree and molded them in her gentle hands with one hand repeated multiple times at different places.
Right after, she was portrayed as going to proceed to put them together and was in the process of forming a being similar to her.
That is what the boy understood from the mural on the right. To him it felt the little girl did not posses more than two hands but the same hands were drawn in motion at different points of the moment.
'Why am I more interested in the right mural?' His mind wandered to this query.
Having no answers to his own question he proceeded. Step after step, he crossed the next archway.
Murals on both side showed a revering being idolizing either the man or the little girl respectively in the murals.
Feeling as if that was a natural progression to the previous murals, he was about to step across the archway in front of him when his eyes glanced up at the roof.
For the first time, he saw an impeccable small star-like circle drawn on the roof in the middle.
"Huh," he did not feel too odd about it. To him, he thought it could be an architectural defect.
The murals he had seen till now always retained the mural of before and added something new to it in the next.
He wondered what would be on the next murals.
His heart felt heavier to think about it. 'But why?' he asked himself.
The being whom he had followed after, the one in a black shroud floated ahead going at its own pace away from the wanderer.
Choosing to follow it still, the wanderer kept going on.
Next mural had him seeing a change from the course he had observed. The mural on the left showed the being the man made crafting its own very first structure made of the ground and branches broken off the tree.
The mural on the right showed a different approach, it showed the little girl working alongside the being she had molded into existence as both helped each other craft the first structure of their mural.
The boy in his brown overcoat tilted his head puzzled at the approaches changes.
As he did so, in his peripheral he saw another small circle appear on the roof some distance away from the original circle.
He looked up to look carefully at the roof. "Maybe, it is not a defect?"
The circles were small enough that even a dot on the monotone black roof could have represented it.
He walked to the next murals. There he saw the right show a completed structure while the left had the man standing as he still watched his created being still making the structure it chose to make.
Roof however had another little circle appear randomly away from the already existing two circles.
Wanderer zipped past the next three murals fast. He ran the length of those murals. He felt as if something odd is happening.
In each of the murals that he ran past, the left always showed the man standing still far away from his created being who itself was crafting a structure. Meanwhile the murals on the right showed progression faster.
In the first one, it showed the little girl and her crafted being making another structure. In the next, it showed her and the crafted being crafting another being but slightly different from the first. To him it felt as if the new one was opposite as well as the same kind as the first.
The last mural on the right he crossed showed the two newly created beings kneeling in reverence of the little girl.
Every time the wanderer had crossed an archway he looked up at the roof too. The number of circles increased and the last roof mural had around twelve small circles on the monotone black roof.
Still he did not stand to admire the paintings more than the minute it took to cross that section of the corridor.
Every second he spent on the murals, the being in the black shroud escaped down the corridor away from his sight. The wanderer worked hard to keep him in his perspective.
Right as he entered the adjacent section of the corridor crossing the arch, he looked up.
That's when he saw a line drawn on the roof dividing it into two parts. One contained the circles, the other devoid of it.
Mural on his right was suddenly blanked too for most of its area. Only a small section was drawn where the tree stood and a new being was sitting in its branches as little as the little girl. However the little girl from before, she stood in the blank canvas of the remaining wall's area. And she began molding the canvas.
That's how he saw her doing whatever she was doing with her hands.
For the left mural too was empty for most of it, the man stood in its center and drawing a line below him with his fingers. But there was a small section of the previous murals present as well. This one was like a small window showing the created being with another similarly created being crafting the original structure.
Both the murals, had their own windows to the past it depicted or had experienced. Or maybe even the reality it had stood witness to.
Yet a strange situation was drawn on the mural on the roof.
There the wanderer saw a different progression from before. A zigzagging line appeared in the middle of the mural and a small window was broken within it. While the original roof mural filled with circles and a line still was as intact as it could be from the emergence of the zigzagged line.
A hand creeped out of it.
