Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Rebirth of the Blood Devourer

In the boundless lands of the Chaotic Continent, a young cultivator named Xio Tian was known for one thing—his ambition.

He was determined to climb to the peak of cultivation, no matter the cost.

Everything changed when news spread that the tomb of the Fifth Supreme—Asura, the Red Demon—had been discovered. Powerful cultivators from across the continent rushed to explore the tomb, chasing legends of ancient power and inheritance.

Xio Tian joined them, and deep within the tomb, fate chose him.

The legacy of the Asura awakened and merged with Xio Tian, marking him as its successor.

But greed never sleeps.

Once the others discovered what he had obtained, they turned on him. One cultivator struck the killing blow.

Xio Tian died, betrayed and alone.

Yet, death was not the end.

The Asura's power refused to be taken so easily. It pulled his soul back and gave him a second chance—rebirth, in the body of a young prince from a remote island under the Chen Kingdom, part of the Northern Continent.

Though declared the rightful heir, Xio Tian faced betrayal once more. The Prime Minister staged a rebellion and seized control. Forced to flee, Xio Tian escaped into the dreaded Abyss Forest.

There, his memories returned.

So did his hunger for power.

He now stood before a moss-covered cliff, long black hair cascading down his back, red eyes glowing faintly in the dark. There was no emotion in them—just silence, cold and deadly. The wind whistled as if afraid to touch him.

Suddenly, from behind a tree, a boy appeared—dirty, bruised, no older than fifteen.

"Y-You! Are you a beast... or a human?" the boy asked, clutching a broken sword.

Xio Tian didn't respond. His gaze remained fixed on the cave entrance behind the boy.

"I've been hiding here for three days," the boy stammered. "There's... something inside that cave. I saw blood on the stones."

Xio Tian finally spoke, voice calm and flat. "There's power in blood."

The boy blinked. "W-What?"

Without another word, Xio Tian stepped forward, ignoring the boy completely. He entered the cave, vanishing into the darkness.

Inside, he found it:

A pill glowing with strange red light,

Spiritual stones and herbs,

And a scroll containing an Ancient-tier Martial Technique.

He took a deep breath, sitting cross-legged on the stone floor.

Then, he whispered to himself:

"This time, I choose the path of blood.

And no one will take it from me again."

He opened the Asura's legacy sealed within his soul.

A Supreme-tier Cultivation Technique—Blood Devour Technique—unfolded before him.

Unlike traditional cultivation, this path demanded blood.

Not energy, not pills.

Only blood.

In this world, Martial Techniques were ranked from lowest to highest:

1. Spirit Tier

2. Magic Tier

3. Sky Tier

4. Holy Tier

5. Divine Tier

6. Ancient Tier

7. Emperor Tier

8. Saint Tier

9. Supreme Tier

And Cultivation Techniques had their own ranks:

1. Low Tier

2. Mid Tier

3. High Tier

4. Ancient Tier

5. Supreme Tier

And the most terrifying rule?

Once a cultivation technique is chosen and the core is formed, it can never be changed. Not in this life. Not in any life.

He didn't hesitate.

Blood was his path now.

Days passed.

Xio Tian hunted beasts silently, devouring their blood, forging his new core.

Within weeks, he had reached the 3rd level of the Qi Refining Stage.

The same boy watched from afar, hidden in fear.

"He's not human…" the boy whispered. "He's something else... something born from blood."

And in the shadows, Xio Tian's red eyes flashed.

He had died once.

Now he was reborn—not as a man, but as a monster the world would never forget.
