Chapter 6 - Pizza

Jack wandered through the streets of New York, still trying to wrap his head around the fact that he'd just been magically kicked out of wizard school for being too... weird. Apparently, the Force and magic don't mix. Who knew?

"Got all this raw power and can't even make a sparkly circle," he muttered, sidestepping a cab like a pro. "Absolutely killing it."

The city was loud, fast, and smelled like hot dogs and ambition. But there was energy in the air — like something big was always just about to happen.

After a while, Jack spotted a pizza place with a flickering neon sign: Angelo's Original Pizza. The smell hit him like a warm hug from the universe.

"Finally," he sighed, stepping inside.

The place was straight out of a late-night movie — checkered floors, greasy counter, busted TV playing news way too loud. A guy behind the counter was tossing dough like a magician with a flour allergy.

"What'll it be?" the guy called.

"Two slices of whatever's hot and a Coke."

"You got it."

Jack dropped into a plastic stool as the guy slapped pizza onto a paper plate. His eyes drifted to the TV.

"—billionaire weapons dealer Tony Stark still missing after an ambush in Afghanistan three days ago. No official statement yet—"

Jack froze, mid-bite.

"…no way."

That meant this was right at the start.

"Dude's been gone a few days," the pizza guy said, shaking his head. "Bet he's rethinking the whole weapons thing now."

"Yeah," Jack muttered. "Bet he is."

He stared at the screen, mind spinning. If Stark was in that cave right now, then the dominoes hadn't even started falling yet.

Which meant Jack had time.

Time to figure out what the hell he was doing here.

He finished his pizza in silence, thoughts racing.

He stood, tossed some bills on the counter, and headed back out into the street. The sky was starting to turn orange, the city glowing under the weight of possibility.

Jack grinned.

"Alright," he said, more to himself than anyone else. "Let's see what kind of mess I can stir up."

First move? Find a place to crash that didn't smell like sadness. Then maybe some new clothes. After that?

Well... the MCU was just getting started. And Jack wasn't planning on sitting this one out.
