Tonight, Rong Xiyi is sleeping with Ms. Ren.
The two chatted until past three in the morning, maybe even longer. Xu Lin got up around three to use the bathroom and overheard the two of them talking as he passed their room. He couldn't make out the conversation, but he did hear Rong Xiyi crying while his mom was comforting her.
Xu Lin thought that perhaps Rong Xiyi was opening up to his mom about her feelings, considering her family situation is rather difficult.
After returning from the bathroom, Xu Lin slept soundly until dawn.
The next day was Monday, and Xu Lin drove Rong Xiyan to school in the morning.
"What time did you guys go to sleep last night?"
Xu Lin couldn't help but ask.
"I don't know."
Rong Xiyi shook her head, perhaps because she confided in Ms. Ren, so today Xu Lin drove the whole way with Rong Xiyi chattering non-stop behind him, like someone who had won millions in the lottery.
