Gu Yanjing and Qiao Yuxian came out of the study.
Gu Yanjing walked towards his bedroom and saw Qiao Yuxian heading downstairs, so he stopped and looked at her.
He watched as she went downstairs to the side hall, and after a while, came back with Zhaocai. She brought Zhaocai upstairs and met him in the corridor.
Gu Yanjing watched her.
Qiao Yuxian patted Zhaocai's head and said, "Come, say goodnight to brother."
Zhaocai looked at him and after a while, reluctantly barked twice.
Gu Yanjing glanced at it and then looked at Qiao Yuxian, "Why are you bringing it along?"
"To sleep, of course." Qiao Yuxian bent down to stroke Zhaocai's head, "It's been a while, we need to catch up tonight."
Zhaocai wagged its tail at her.
But when facing Gu Yanjing, it immediately adopted a cool demeanor.
