Cold anger flashed in Andrew Kennedy's eyes. "So it really was you?!"
Realizing what he'd misunderstood, Aurelia Shaw gave an indifferent little laugh. "You didn't block my career path, why would I go after you? This kind of tied‑up hype does nothing for me. Someone sent the photos to the paper, and I know people at that paper. I wanted to drag out whoever's trying to screw me, so I staged this little show."
Aurelia laid it out briefly and to the point.
"I'll destroy today's negatives. This photo is the last one—you can delete it."
Andrew mulled over what she'd said. The two of them really had no conflict of interest; she had no reason to target him.
"Who's the one behind it?" Since they'd used him, they were definitely his enemy too.
Aurelia just smiled, sly as a fox. "I've got other plans. But don't worry, it absolutely won't affect you."
Andrew opened his mouth to ask something, but in the end said nothing.
She was even more cunning than he'd imagined.
