Aurelia glanced at her, "You know it's awkward, huh?"
Amanda Fuller stuck out her tongue.
Mason Nightshade looked through the rearview mirror and saw Aurelia's bright complexion, her lips curled up into a cheerful smile, the corners of his own mouth lifted unconsciously.
Start the car.
"Should we find somewhere to celebrate?" Amanda Fuller asked excitedly, not waiting for a response before making the decision herself, "Let's go eat at Zhai's! I've heard the food there is really delicious..."
She paused, looking slyly at Mason Nightshade, "Mr. Nightshade, since Aurelia passed the audition, shouldn't you do something?"
Mason Nightshade glanced at her expectant eyes and nodded, "I'll cover the bill."
"Yay!"
Amanda Fuller cheered and looked back at Aurelia, fearing she might disagree, her big eyes pitifully pleading, "Aurelia, is that okay?"
Mason Nightshade unintentionally raised his eyes to look back, his heartstrings tightening.
