Aurelia Shaw's eyes narrowed coldly, but before she could make a move, a shadow flickered in front of her. A tall figure suddenly loomed above, shielding her completely.
A low, familiar groan came from overhead.
Aurelia frowned, lifted her chin, and looked up. The cold, handsome face hovering above entered her line of vision. Her pupils suddenly contracted, and a cold gleam flashed instinctively through her eyes. However, she quickly noticed something was wrong.
Mason Nightshade's brows furrowed, his eyes as cold and sharp as a blade. He stood in front of Aurelia Shaw with his back to her, his broad chest completely shielding her 1.7-meter frame from view. One hand protected the back of her head, while the other hand covered her head. Crimson blood seeped through the sleeve of his white shirt, dripping down his slender fingers and splattering below.
"Hiss—," a gasp of shock echoed around the scene.
