Chapter 52 - Chapter 52 (The Watcher (2))

After meeting with Carter, DA had something to do. After finishing that, on his way back. It was late night

DA walked the deserted streets late at night, his footsteps echoing softly under the glow of the full moon. His gaze lifted to the silver orb hanging in the sky, and a sudden memory stirred within him — it was a night just like this.

An adult's voice echoed in his mind as he remembered walking beside a younger version of himself. The man said,

"Remember, DA, everyone is human. That means everyone is equal. Treat others with respect and kindness — always. That's what he taught me when I was your age."

DA's eyes never left the moon as he whispered to himself, The Moon… it always reminds me of him.

---

Meanwhile, at his home, Ron sat lost in thought, replaying DA's words over and over.

So, all this time... our love was just a pawn in his quest for revenge.

He recalled DA's voice, calm but firm: "If you see it from Dr. Thomas's perspective, he's not wrong."

Ron's mind churned. Who am I? Why is my past a blur? I need to find Mr. Gonzalez. Maybe he can restore my memories… but I

need to see Dream too.

Dream's face flickered in his mind like a distant flame. Just then, something caught his eye — the Black Heart Diary. His hand reached out almost of its own accord and grasped it.

The cover felt cold, heavy with secrets. As he opened it, the long-hidden story of the Watcher and Dr. Thomas began to unfold.

The Text inside the dairy starts forming

The Story:

But first...

(let's call Dr. Thomas's other half "Thomas 2").

Dr. Thomas had hidden his other self — Thomas 2 — away. His other self was gravely wounded, bleeding profusely, missing everything below his right shoulder and left bicep. Death hovered close. A huge bounty loomed over Thomas 2's head, while Thomas 1 bore a smaller price.

Years passed as Thomas 1 honed his skills, mastering Black Sorcery — a powerful magic inherited from his ancestors.

Then whispers of an arrival stirred. The Watcher's dimension's doors were normally sealed tight, only opening for rare visitors.

Thomas 1 positioned himself near the dying Thomas 2, ready to flee. But the rumor was a trap.

As the door creaked open, Thomas 1 sprinted forward, Thomas 2 on his back. Suddenly, guards flooded in, slamming Thomas 1 to the ground and pinning him.

Behind the guards strode the Watcher, flanked by his wife. Thomas locked eyes with them. The Watcher's wife smirked with cruel satisfaction.

The Watcher's voice was heavy with betrayal:

"Thomas, you were like a brother to me. We shared everything. When I became king, you were the only one who stood by my side. And yet... you committed this unforgivable crime."

Thomas 1's voice was steady, filled with pain:

"I did nothing. The demon is in your house — in your bed. Your wife. How else would I know? You told me yourself, only you and she knew the secret."

The Watcher's wife gripped his arm, tears feigning innocence, "Honey, I could never betray you like that. He's trying to blackmail me."

The Watcher's eyes narrowed.

"Thomas, if you had told the truth, your sentence would've been lighter. But you still claim innocence."

He bowed his head, cold and final.

"Kill them both."

A guard stepped forward to strike Thomas 2. Thomas 1 screamed,

"Don't touch him, or you'll regret it!"

Ignored, the guard drew his blade. Thomas 1 struggled, freeing one hand to reach into his back pocket.

Suddenly, the city's sky ripped open as a massive portal formed — wider than the city itself. Through it stepped a strange figure: Outer N93.

---

Outers:

Entities from the third layer of reality, unnamed except by classification. Outer N93 was the 93rd strongest of group N.

Everyone shivered in fear — even the Watcher trembled.

Ron read aloud quietly,

"The Outers are strong enough to scare the Watcher himself."

Suddenly, the text in the diary shifted. The previous passage faded away, replaced by new words appearing on the page as if typed by an unseen hand:

> "Ron, don't you have better things to do, you ancient fool?"

Ron frowned. can he hear my voice?

Ron says, "Damn you, Black Heat or Black Whatever. You remind me of DA. Are you brothers?"

Another text comes

> "Naw, DA and I are enemies. You've probably heard from DA that you and I belong to a forgotten race. Relatives, of sorts. Maybe we should meet for dinner or lunch."

Ron says, "Come on, man, continue the story. You'd make a great writer."

> "Fine. But here's a tip: don't trust DA. He's hiding something even you don't know."

---

Back to the tale inside the diary:

Outer N93 stepped through the portal and... the diary suddenly ended the passage with:

> "Ah, I forgot the rest. I'll tell you tomorrow. Now, you — yes, you — get to work. Cyaaaaaa."

The text vanished.

In the Watcher's Dimension

The Watcher sat alone on his throne amid the ashes of his shattered kingdom. Everyone was dead — all except him. For billions of years he had endured, staring up at the blackened sky.

His voice was a bitter whisper,

"Thomas... you stole everything from me. If only you'd taken the blame. I would've imprisoned you for a week — maybe less. Then I'd have set you free, and helped your other half."
