The little baby was finally named Leng Yanyu, a name picked by Leng Liewei. Initially, he didn't plan on using the character 'Yan,' wanting to differentiate the baby's name from Xiao Lang's. But later, he worried that doing so might stir unpleasant feelings in Xiao Lang, so he continued with the character 'Yan.'
When Bai Yiran heard the name Leng Yanyu, she knew the old man had put thought into it and accepted the name with pleasure.
After spending about a week in the hospital, Bai Yiran took the child home.
Leng Yichen also had a vasectomy the day after Bai Yiran was discharged; he didn't want Bai Yiran to go through childbirth again, as pregnancy and delivery are truly painful experiences for women.
Xiao Lang, who was already in elementary school, became an older brother once more and showed even more maturity and understanding. Knowing that his mom now needed to care for his younger brother, he feared Xiao Xi might be unhappy, so he played with her in different ways every day.
