Chapter 38 - Episode 38:The one she forgot

Everyone had returned from their pillar trials.

Everyone… but Nisa.

She stood before hers, hand trembling slightly.

But before she could step into the light, the silver-haired girl appeared—not across the lake… but in front of her.

Everyone backed up, tense.

Bihoo instinctively stepped forward. "What do you want from her?"

The girl's voice was icy calm:

> "She owes me the truth."

Then, the mirror pulsed—and pulled both of them inside.

Inside the Mirror Realm

The air was thick with wind and silver petals.

Nisa blinked. "Where are we…?"

The girl stood across from her—eyes glowing. Her voice softer now, but sharp with pain.

> "You really don't remember me, do you?"

Nisa shook her head, confused. "I don't even know your name."

The silver-haired girl raised her hand—and the mirror split open a memory.

Two little girls—training together under moonlight.

One had silver hair.

One had Nisa's eyes.

They sparred.

They laughed.

They bled together.

The girl whispered:

> "You called me Selis. You said we'd always fight side by side."

Nisa stepped back, eyes wide.

> "But then one day… they chose you. And sealed my memory. They took my name out of history. Erased me to make room for your power."

"Why… why would they do that?" Nisa whispered.

Selis's voice cracked.

> "Because I was born from moonlight and shadow. And you were born from flame and light. We weren't supposed to exist together."

> "But I loved you, Nisa. You were everything."

Nisa's knees buckled.

> "Then I'm so, so sorry…"

> "You forgot me," Selis whispered. "And now… I can never forget you."

The mirror realm shattered with a thunderous crack.

Nisa fell back into reality, gasping—tears running down her cheeks.

Selis hovered above the lake now—her eyes dim, her power unstable.

> "I don't want your pity. I want the truth of what we were.
