Previously, Black Rose always selected from third and fourth-year students; the first and second years were for preliminary observation, without giving newcomers a chance. Even if rookies had some strength and talent, it would take time to evaluate them—until the current president, Luo Xue, broke the tradition herself.
The previous president specifically vacated a month to let her take over, focusing on mentoring. Even though Nan Kai and Fei Ruolin are seniors, they didn't have any complaints.
