Sister Three Billion braced herself, forcing a smile, "Lawrence, let's just say I owe you a favor."
Lawrence Winters smiled inscrutably, "Sister Three Billion, let's discuss this later. For now, let's solve Blake Leaf's issue."
She turned to him and said, "Can you recount your experience of being left at the door as a child?"
Blake Leaf was puzzled, "Didn't I just say it? Besides, it's all what my adoptive parents said. They... have physical disabilities, so what they say can't be entirely trusted."
"Are you saying they lied?" Lawrence Winters asked pointedly.
Blake Leaf shook his head, smiling bitterly, "No, I believe they didn't lie. It's just that with one being deaf and the other blind, you see, it was night time..."
