If the Warriors' journey to reclaim the championship in the 15/16 season can only be described as awe-inspiring.
Then the journey to defend their title in the 16/17 season can only be described as smooth sailing.
From the regular season to the playoffs...
The defending champions, who mastered the art of winning, not only tied their own NBA single-season record with 75 wins in the regular season.
Moreover, in the subsequent playoffs, the Warriors easily defended their title with a 16-1 record.
Throughout the playoffs, only the Knicks, led by the "King of Runner-ups" Durant, managed to narrowly beat the Warriors in one game.
"Can someone tell me, how on earth can Kevin Durant win a championship?" Shortly after the finals ended, Durant was seen using his burner account online seeking help.
In response, a kind-hearted American netizen suggested that to win the championship, Durant first needs to find a way to kick Harden.
