The atmosphere at the press conference had sunk to an all-time low, and Umarov was kneeling on the ground, looking as if all life had been drained from him. His eyes were lifeless and gray, emanating an overwhelming sense of defeat.
As soon as the news was released, Umarov's Crescent Group instantly crumbled, and it wasn't just a matter of plummeting stock prices or employees leaving.
His bribery of Swift alone was enough to have him prosecuted by the British Minister of Integrity, having Crescent Group seized, and him jailed!
Everything now proved that Umarov had reached a dead end, with no road left to retreat!
"Looks like you already know your fate!"
Looking at Umarov, Lu Yu coldly spoke, "Remember, just days ago, you arrogantly proclaimed that you feared no sanctions and dared me to trouble you. Now, you don't seem so arrogant anymore, do you?!"
As he spoke, Lu Yu stood over Umarov, like a cat watching a mouse, his gaze dripping with amusement.
"Hmph!"
