"Herbert, have you forgotten my singing?"
Fremay said softly, "After leaving here, I don't want to cause you any trouble."
"In the past, only those who heard my singing would be affected, but what about the future? What if the curse strengthens in the future? To the point where just hearing my voice would affect someone?"
"I don't wish to harm anyone, especially those around you."
"When there are others around, I will close my mouth and not make a sound."
Her voice carried no sadness, as if she were merely stating a very commonplace fact.
"So I need something that can make a sound."
"When I can't speak, as soon as it rings, you'll know I'm by your side."
Herbert frowned silently.
He didn't want Fremay to be so pessimistic; her ability was certainly not a curse.
But right now, he truly didn't have a way to completely solve this problem for her.
At least relying on him alone, there's no way to ensure no accidents will happen.
