"Are you two a married couple?" the principal asked with a smile.
Su Xingwan quickly shook her head, "No."
She had expected they would be mistaken when enrolling in the kindergarten. Usually, it's the children's mom and dad who bring them, or at least the grandparents. Rarely does an aunt and uncle bring them like this.
"Oh, is that so? Then who are you?" asked the principal.
The two little ones looked up, "Principal Auntie, this is our aunt and uncle!"
The principal was a little taken aback and clearly hadn't expected such a family arrangement.
She then smiled and said, "Miss Su, Mr. Lu, is there anything you would like to know about our kindergarten?"
Su Xingwan thought for a moment, looked at the two little ones, and asked, "Can these two join the middle class?"
The principal hesitated, "The middle class? These children seem to be only four years old, isn't it too early for them to join the middle class?"
