Master Clark froze for a moment and couldn't help but laugh, "Boss Payten, what's going on here? You've got such a daring customer; that's really not easy."
The owner of the jade stones, Boss Payten, was standing to the side. Was the person with his back to them crazy or something?
Even if he didn't understand the rules here, anyone with common sense would know not to say such things in front of the boss, right?
Isn't this ruining someone's business?
Boss Payten, whose skin was tanned and dark, reluctantly rubbed his head but didn't say anything.
"Sir, is it really unsuitable to purchase this piece of jade?" Mr. Fenton asked more tactfully; he really couldn't bring himself to say the words "gamble and lose" in front of Boss Payten.
"Yes." The man with his back to them answered simply and clearly, without a single extra word of explanation.
"Master Clark seems quite determined to get this piece of jade." Mr. Fenton probed.
