"I don't agree with you being with someone like that!" Ethan Seymour said resolutely.
Charles Seymour glanced at Ethan with no emotion: "You don't agree? What the hell does that have to do with me?"
Ethan's disparagement of Sophie made Charles abandon his usual reticence and snap back directly.
"I am your father!" Ethan cursed angrily, "I'm telling you, if you stay with this woman, you won't get a single penny of my inheritance!"
Charles laughed, just a slight upwards curve of his lips, but it made the sarcasm perfectly clear, impossible for anyone to overlook.
"When did the Seymour Family become your domain?" Charles looked at him coldly.
Ethan glanced at the grim-faced Old Mr. Seymour, then said coldly, "I'm talking about my estate!"
The disdain in Charles's eyes deepened further: "Mr. Seymour, do you think everyone is like you, marrying a woman you don't love against your conscience just to inherit an estate?"
